I'm more concerned about the future, for the youth, as I have 2 who are tying to make ends meet.
My working days are done. I don't have to be concerned with a boss, or bosses walking up telling me, "today is your last day, we have to let you go", or I'd be on Bay St too, showing support.
Personally - the only thing I've got to be concerned with is the 99% gang stealing my pensions.

This one time...in France...it happened and some rich greedy folks had their heads chopped off by the whining masses. I'm all in favour of a revolution if it involves greedy ****ers getting their comeuppance.

Oh right, Apple, who marketed you shiny devices, told you they are cool, and are all at least a generation behind.

The SAME apple, that proudly labels each box as "Designed in California", but neglects to mention that the stuff is made in factories overseas, using chemicals that are prohibited everywhere else, paying a slaves wages.

The same Apple, richest tech company in the world, who gives nothing to charity, formerly led by a man who intentionally cancelled the company's charitable programs, and also gave nothing of his own?

Innovative products, sure, but absolutely nothing innovative about their operation as a corporation. Just as greedy, just as driven by market share as anyone else you can think of.

If you are in support of all the Occupy stuff, then Apple has done anything BUT enrich your life.

Why are they not protesting the latest iWhatever line-ups? Jobs overseas to make the share holders, execs and banks richer. Needless consumerism making the 1% richer. Seems like that would be a good place to start.

Oh, they want their iWhatevers, they are just mad at the banks, or are they? Life is not fair? What exactly is the message? They are mad at CEOs making millions but not athletes making 10s of millions, or are they? They want better paying jobs but shop at Walmart?

I don't disagree that changes are needed to help balance the power/system. Protesting with a weak message is not going to get it done.

The Sun says the protest is tiny and over.
The Star says it's a revolution.
The Globe says it's small (200 people or so). <-- I believe this the most.
 
This peaceful protest concept if the worst devised method of uprising against percieved grievances ever constructed. Nothing gets accomplished without force, sadly.
 
Can you folks imagine what economic disaster it would be if we ever saw 0% unemployment? Then the entire support network for unemployed people would breakdown, all those councillors and consultants and employees at the Work Centers would be out on the street. With the packages they would get being ex civil servants , early retire payouts and early dismissal bonuses the federal and provincial pots would just be sucked dry. And the employment stat would shoot right back to 8% or higher within a week.

Stop looking for lower employment, the Tim Hortons stores need somebody to hang around there from 10-4 during the day when the rest of us go to work.

For you guys hiding up north and burying can goods, don't forget the dip the cans in parafin wax first so they dont rust out. The parafin can be scraped off and makes a great firestarter.
Put up vegetables since they will be harder to get with no agriculture, protein will be easy, fat chicks are slow runners.
Pot grows best over the septic tank.

And pussified Canada is far from starving in the streets to the point where murder is the only option.

If you are going to do something you have to have the strength of your convictions and see it through to it's bloody end.

Canadians run when someone gets shoved. Straight to the safety of their masturbation chair to fill the internet with their tears.
