They spent it to kill a man (fairly recently) who has been dead for years while killing a man they used to pay to kill men for them while killing their own to hide the fact that they are spending your money to kill people so they can take their oil.

The last thing the rich are going to be worried about are the prolls that frequent arenas.

They have been keeping them in line with just such events since longer than anyone can remember.

Lucky, you're clueless buddy. There's nobody at the top pulling the strings.

The crash happened because of greedy Wall St. bankers ****ing the poor (stupid) people. They made piles of money by writing loans. Then they realized they could make 10x as much if they lend to people with sub-prime credit ratings by reeling them in with teaser rates and all kinds of shady practices. Most of these teaser rates would run out within 3-5 years at which point interest would balloon and 99% of the loans would go sour.

Then smarter people higher up on the ladder came to realize they could package all these individual crappy loans, get ratings agencies like Moody's and Standard&Poor to rate the bundles as AAA loans and then sell insurance on those groups of loans to other banks and investors. Banks sold billions in credit default swaps on these garbage loans... when the borrowers started defaulting, the banks went tits up.
