Now that was slick.

The fact that they detonated them w/o ever knowing where the people were so innocent bystanders could be killed was really cool too eh.
War is never "cool" unless you are privileged enough to be in the top 1% the rest of us are cannon fodder or possible collateral damage.
It does however seem to inspire some to preform some interesting and or creative acts this being one of those.

The Jews , Israelis after WW2 had a saying “never again” . They will use whatever they feel needs to be done , they have sent assassins around the world in the interest of the cause . They are a vengeful people .

I always thought the "never again" was altruistic and meant never again should anyone have to put up with that, but it really means never again for only the Jews.
As much as I do not condone the cowardly acts of Oct 7 I gotta say if you stand with a jackboot on peoples throats while building on land that's supposed to be theirs you should expect blow back.

while building on land that's supposed to be theirs
And there's the root of the issue. When two different sky beings gave the same land to two different groups of people, whose land is it? There is no way to discuss or negotiate when you believe the land was provided to you by your sky being. It is by definition a god-given right and therefore anyone trying to take that away is against the will of God. Somehow, most religions then extend that to "now you must die". I'm not sure how they mentally justify people dying for land rights in the name of religion but they have for thousands of years and don't seem to be interesting in a more human focused approach. Is religion just about money and power for those at the top?

BINGO!
All three major religions have their roots in the old testament. Have a read. It condones slavery, rape and infanticide just to name a few. If this the book from which you set your moral course....well we all know how that ends.

So if the nerd swings at the bully's baby sister it's ok because he was picked on. Tell me how this analogy is wrong.

Maybe if they went to a music festival instead of going to a market with known Hezbolla members wandering about they wouldn't need to be worried about becoming innocent collateral damage in a strike.

Can't talk on the phone/radio, meet face to face. Boom again. It's dangerous to be a terrorist.

Boo bleeping hoo. Two "Canadians" were killed while stuck in traffic trying to flee from lebanon. They've lived in Lebanon since 2003 and have family in Canada. This wasn't exactly the first strike in the war. They chose to stay in a war zone, it ended badly. This story has nothing to do with being canadian or fleeing.

Not really a “precision” hit either is it? Netanyahu won’t stop because when he does his career might be over. That’s a pretty despicable reason to keep on bombing.

I watched the news this morning. Listened to the Lebanese that were interviewed and all I could think about is that this action just recruits way more potential members to Hezbollah than were killed a few days ago. Then again, collective punishment never works the way you want it to.

If Israel stops slaughtering Gazans this whole thing cools down but his right wing coalition cabinet members that are propping his government up won’t let him.

Cools down for now. Until hezbolah attacks again. That could be tomorrow. There is no end. There is no winning. That applies to both sides.

The current religious zealot Israeli government really, really want Trump to win the upcoming election (about as much as Putin). They are acutely aware that opinions are sharply divided on the Democratic side regarding the US approach to the region, but largely united on the Republican side. The more strife they cause, the more they force Harris to make her position known, which will inevitably either piss off the New York, mid-West, swing vote Democrats (largely pro-Israel) or piss off young voters and Muslim voters (massively pro-Palestine). As the upcoming election is all about turnout (at this point, the undecided voter numbers are quite small), giving people a reason not to line up may win your guy the election. The US political landscape will never, ever allow either party to side with Palestine, but if they can force the Democrats to alienate the youth and Muslim vote, Trump wins.

Also, Netanyahu's grip on power at home is quite tenuous, so the more he lights the region on fire, the safer he sits. And how many innocent people will die in the process matters naught...

Any Israeli claim to entering peace talks in good faith needs to be understood through this lens.

Figures the son is speaking exclusively to Breakfast Wokevision. They emigrated to Canada in 1996 and have lived back in Lebanon since 2003? So they were here in Canada for an extra large coffee with a side of Canadian citizenship. As soon as the paperwork was processed it was back on a plane.

Hard to be wrong when the bully holds up his baby sister to absorb the punch.

But by definition innocent bystanders arn't swinging are they.
Hamas and Hezbollah have fighters with weapons on the front line. But unlike conventional armies that call support staff 'soldiers' (cooks, POW guards, mechanics, logistic and supply chain workers, tunnel builders), the terrorist armies call them 'civilians'.

As I see it, if you're going to harbor and support a terrorist militia, you have to be prepared to be a casualty of war.

I understand there are lots of innocent people among the casualties, what I don't understand is why they don't pressure the terrorists to stop the carnage. If Hamas lays down their arms, I'm guessing the shooting would be over.

Wouldn't it be a better use of energy for the Keffiyeh-wearing protesters to rally the Palestinian people to purge their country of Hamas?

You assume that the innocent civilians want terrorists out and aren't cheering them on for protecting their God given land.

Maybe this is what happened to Atlantis. The only way to stop the fighting is to sink the contested land into the sea. If you can't play nice, nobody gets it.

The IRA hid in Dublin. I’m having a really hard time remembering when the British army levelled the city?
Take a roadtrip through Germany, step into a Rathaus in any city. Many of their entrance lobbies have dioramas or arial photos before/after 1945. It's shocking to see the scale of devastation.

I get that some will cheer and support, others will stay quiet out of fear.

At some point, the population knows when their terrorist protectors are circling the drain. I'm pretty sure the Palestinian population knew what was inevitable if Hamas didn't surrender.

They got inevitable. Had they turned in their terrorists, the suffering would have ended a lot sooner.

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say there... but I'm pretty sure I disagree with the inference.

Who remembers Mohammed Abu Al-Qumsan? His sad story made the news in August when he went to register the birth of his twin boys, only to return home home find his newborn twins, his wife and his mother all killed by an Israeli missile attack.
Pretty sad huh?
There's more to it. Not a random missile, or collateral damage. The Israeli's put a low explosive anti personnel missile into his apartment to shut up his wife that had twitter following and was critical of the Israeli government. There WAS pictures (can't find them now) and the windows in the next door apartment were intact. The wife had just got home from work, the Israeli's were watching the apartment, they knew who was inside.
So do we think the wife was hiding behind her children Mike? I defy any human to defend these actions.

If Hamas lays down their arms, I'm guessing the shooting would be over.
Yep, if the Palestinians would only submit to the genocide, there would be no reason for war.
You're right, it's their OWN fault. When faced with the choices of: lie down and die or we'll kill you... I'd say the choice is obvious
