Mike told me that. I was very clear...
im not judge or jury here or in most places but my opinion is as follows and the reason I posted here.
Seems to ME your sour that someone sold your bike for more then you could. But that's the breaks man if YOU need to pay someone to fix it and pay for the parts it's gonna cost more. so you got rid of it for whatever SOMEONE would pay does it really matter who? No it doesn't... or else you wouldn't have sold it man. And to come here and bash someone over your issue is wrong!! This ******** about the ad and who posted it and blah blah blah is just deflection of the fact that YOU feel you got burned. What's posted on a ad has no bearing on anything here. I haven't dealt with him much but I get at least a descent vibe from him. All points considered that's how I see it but even I don't care lol.
If if you want the bike isn't it for sale? You even went to extent to go and see it and PROVE what you stated. Looks to me that you might be trying to hard to hold a grudge karma's a ***** man and usually spelt haha **** you
good luck in your future bike stuff but don't try to muddy the waters with YOUR personal grudge.
if were Mikey I'd have the lawyer write up a letter to the OP for possible slander.
$4-$4.5k is your price for you to get it fixed. His time isn't free.
His price... time, and maybe $1k tops for replacement parts. resell for profit.
btw thanks for bringing thread up. I'll be contacting mikey for work I need to be done.
If Mikey told you someone back into it. That's a lie. Should i now post the jeans that i had on showing they were torn from the fall? The gloves i just got repaired and re-stitched? My physiotherapy assessments..lol
I would like to see pics of this so called bike that was backed into? The fact that you telling me this, i am even more convinced this...MikeyMoto is a sketchy fellow.
This I would be concerned about if he knew. Did you actually tell him how the bike got damaged?
Where is it written in the ad that the bike wasn't crashed?

Damn this Internet and chat forums, so much harder to hide things now lol.No where. Excellent point. Reminds me of buddy getting his drivers' door window replaced. Couple days later the interior stinks to high heaven. He peels the door panel back to reveal a rotting fish. When he complained, the service manager said "Where on the work order does it say we didn't put in a dead fish?" So ya, you gots to read the fine print. Excellent point.
Branding is the process of assigning "brand" types that indicate whether a vehicle has been severely damaged in the past.Vehicles that have been damaged to the point of total loss must be assigned a brand by:
These vehicles must be reported to the Ministry of Transportation. The brand is recorded in the ministry's Vehicle Registration System.
- insurance companies
- auto recyclers
- salvagers
- auctioneers
- dealers
- individual vehicle owners
Brand types are:
"Rebuilt" or "None" are the only acceptable brands for a consumer buying a used vehicle for on-road use.
- "Irreparable"
- "Salvage"
- "Rebuilt"
- "None"
[h=2]Benefits of mandatory branding[/h]The vehicle branding program makes it more difficult to put stolen and damaged vehicles on Ontario roads, enhances road safety and better protects consumers by providing important information about possible past damage to a vehicle.
Branding also helps to identify written-off vehicles to deter thieves from re-registered stolen vehicles under the serial numbers of identical written-off vehicles.
As a consumer, you will have better information to help you determine if a vehicle you are about to buy is:
[h=2]Motorcycles[/h]The "Salvage" and "Rebuilt" brands don't apply to motorcycles. A motorcycle is branded as "Irreparable" where there is frame damage that requires replacement.
- irreparable and for parts only
- salvage and can't be plated
- rebuilt to MTO structuralstandards
Motorcycles are more susceptible than cars to fraudulent registration. The "Irreparable" brand allows for the tracking of resale parts to help law enforcement reduce motorcycle theft and the laundering of stolen motorcycle parts.
Op it seems right around the time where you disappear for awhile and get frustrated because "we must all be mike's" friends. The pictures I have seen look just like those. No train ever hit it lol. Get over it man if you don't want to deal with him don't!!! but don't come over here and play "THE VICTIM" because your not...
Just some interesting information I found on the MTO website: http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/vehicles/vehicle-branding-program.shtml
As above, it would seem to me that the duty to report the damage fell on Murchie when it was damaged under his ownership. If he was truly concerned about the motorcycle later being sold without the damage being disclosed, then he should have disclosed the damage to the MTO.
Since he did not report this damage to the MTO, one can then presume that he does not care if subsequent owners are aware of this bike's history. If that is the case, then what is this thread about? Murchie, you claim it is all about preventing a bike being sold without the history disclosed; so why, then, didn't you report the damage?
I get that the OP wants to warn others of a less than fully explicit ad involving the re-sale of his old bike. I get that.
But I don't get the over the top posts he used to convey his concern. It seems that there is some other more personal motivation behind it. A previous poster suggested this as well.
Listen, report what to the MTO? What do i tell them? I'm not a mechanic.
Mikey falsely advertised the bike. Period.
The other guy mentioned, he was told by Mikey someone backed into the bike in a parking lot. It makes me sick to hear that.
Sketchy as hell.
