Or the OP doesn't like liars but you dont care? ..

You seem to choose to ignore the facts and jump right into the band wagon of attacking the OP.

I'm disgusted by the hypocrisy displayed in here. While you all mocked and laughed at low ballers, kijiji ads by scammers and liars but if one of your friends exposed of such act you replied " why do you care?

I'm glad the OP tell his story. OP, copy his ad... Repost it on kijiji with exact same pics and description with a warning to potential buyer.

Thank You Sir.

We should go riding sometime :>

YES to your first question.

NO your second question. Just like others you fail to see the point of this post.
Let me try again, I posted this so others is aware of the lies behind the ad. How sketchy MikeyMoto is by not disclosing what the bike had been through. Yes i'm salty because I hate liers, thieves whatever you want to call them.

Don't capitalize on someones else's innocence just to make profit.

Is this the same guy who was passing off ebay/chinese front rotors as his own?

So if the frame was replaced with a blank frame, then the VIN was stamped in so the VIN matches the old bike, then the rest of the bike is built up with whatever was still good from the old bike and other new/good parts sourced elsewhere..... Was that bike actually ever down?

Frames that were as extensively damaged as you describe don't get repaired, they get replaced.

I think the issue is one of disclosure and seller ethics. When you buy a used car, van, SUV etc... you can check with CarProof to determine if it has been in an accident. Not 100% reliable, but it's a tool. Then at least you know and you can determine if you want to go forward. Dealers give you significantly less on a repaired vehicle on trade-in and they will often resell for less that the average used price because that's the market. Even though a bike has been rebuilt to look and perform properly the fact that it was severely damaged, major components were replaced and/or maybe pieced together from a number of bikes is significant and should be disclosed. Then let the buyer make up their mind on whether they want to go forward with the purchase.

I notice all the racers that know mikey are defending him. Looks like this dude pulled a fast one. He knew what he was doing from the start. Things must be tight for him. Instead of helping the customer and making the money that way, he decides to do it the piece of #%&$ way. Not a really honest mechanic. Does he even have a bike mechanics licence? Isn't this guy a car mechanic turned bike mechanic. Is he even allowed to have a running shop in his home garage? Doesn't he sell Chinese bike parts and puts his name on them like he makes them him self? I had a friend go to his house to change some tires one time and he made my friend wait outside his garage and closed the doors. When he was finished he only cracked the door a little bit so my friend wouldn't see inside. What was he hiding? Maybe bikes that shouldn't have been there? He does change frames and stamps them.

I don't get why people are defending the seller.

Yeah, he bought and rebuilt it. Fine.
But it's not about the money. He is LYING about the history of the bike. I would avoid the seller based on that alone.

Where's a guarantee he even repaired it well? Maybe it was a 1 man DIY operation with no proper equipment or knowledge. No guarantee it won't snap in 2 on the first pothole. I wouldn't even sit on the bike if the guy is so full of ****.

Is it considered all "stock" if it was rebuilt with a new blank frame and assembled from parts? Should be sold as rebuilt, no?

Murchy was notified by mikeymoto .....yes Mikeymoto actually told murchy that he was stuck with his old bike. and even called him to touchbase with him about the situation. long story short- that the wholesaler no longer wanted the vehicle. so mikeymoto was stuck with the bike. Having acouple of cbr1000 race bikes, he is left with a lot of stock parts that are not used on the race bikes. mikeymoto repaired the bike and sold it.....do you think a 2008 cbr 1000 with new 2011 bodywork, new subframe, new fairing stay ,new rear sets, new clips ons, new grips and new rims is going to be passed off as a bike that wasn't ever down??????? Its extremely stupid to think one could think that the bike was all orig in this state with all these components being replaced its almost a given.

And what makes me sick to my stomach is when someone trys to threaten mikeymoto by saying "Mikey, you messed with the wrong dude. **** just got real. This is just the beginning." ????

Maybe mikeymoto should of said this is the price ....if you dont like it shove it.... but no, he gave you options .....options that mikeymoto even told you to take the weekend and think it over, to make your mind up before you make a final decision. Wow this guy sounds like a scammer to me too!!!

Pretty much all mikeymotos business is based on referrals, its not new that mikeymoto will sometime buy salvage bikes now and then and sell them as track bike and/or part them out. And all of my customers are informed exactly what they are buying. When something is junk it goes in the garbage, when something is good it is kept. even with the wheel that was scratched up on the bike both were replaced with newer wheels.

Fyi I am mikeymoto so thats why i am so informed about this situation .....getting about 20 msgs from customers about some guy talking negatively about me on here because they know the whats being said is false.... i have always been an upfront guy with all my customers , and people that have ACTUALLY met me know what im about.... its crazy to think some people above that have never met or heard about me before have no problem making comments about how i do business and all of a sudden know how i operate my busnesses .

Its really unfortunate that murchy has gotten this vibe from me, about this situation and has the need for some type of retaliation because he felt he got scammed...

if that really was the case, i wouldn't of went out of my way to call and contact you repeatedly to touch base with you about the whole situation before it was one .

Try to help out a fellow rider and it goes to this extreme .... Sad

I'm glad that now we can hear BOTH sides of the story instead of only one.

Always 2 sides. If the buyer was informed of the status of the bike then no issues. Just a misunderstanding between the 2 sides?

Typically 3 sides to a story....mine, yours, and the truth somewhere in between.

Is somebody selling Chinese crrrap as their own?

So a quick observation...

Anyone that hat replied to this thread did ANYONE go and see the bike? Because if you didn't be quiet!

I went to to see it and it was disclosed to me... So unless you did don't slander!!

I also find find it interesting that the OP hasn't been commenting on anything "mikeymoto" said.

Is it all true???? Munchie where are you?

A cracked subframe and and a cracked frame are two VERY different things, let's not be too quick to SLANDER shops because with 1000+ views your taking away bread and butter... And your thoughts could jeopardize someone finding a really good shop with people that care about service. And make their own judgment instead of being swayed.

and my Last question to the OP did YOU contact MIKEYMOTO after the situation? And ASK why? if it bothered you so much. Btw I'm not a squid been around the block more then once... My personal experience just as the OP is entitled... All I see is popcorn and lingering people that are just waiting to say something negative...
