MotoGP 2015

I'm gonna open a can of worms here (flame away, I've got the suit on).

From everything I know about riding and my own modest share of track riding, as much as I dislike Lorenzo as a person, I admire his riding style. But let's face it---from the spectator's point of view, his smoothness is god awful boring!

No need for the suit my friend. It's down to personal preference. For me, I'm perfectly fine watching someone throw in perfect lap after perfect lap. I don't need out of control passes and aggression to get excited. In fact I love a race where someone is just stalking another rider, right in his wheel tracks, right to the end. That said I can totally see why people loved Stoner and love Marquez and that on the edge of losing it style.

Stoner rode on the edge? I did not usually see it that way. I suppose he did it out of necessity on the Ducati during the the end of his tenure there, but with the Honda, I always thought he rode very smoothly.

Dislike the ****er but this is perfection, screw Lorenzo, not even close

He grew up on dirt, sideways, all the time. Carried that all the way through his GP career.... See the above video

To each their own

P.S. I think turn 5 a Barcelona makes everyone look epic

It seems like people have a really short memory when it comes to Marquez bumping/nudging/slamming/smashing into other bikes and riders on the track.

I've said before that we don't know how Marquez will race when he can't just clear off out front... Well I guess we know now.

this, i remember everyone saying since day 1 he got into motoGP
the way he rides endangers everyone on track,
guess rossi had the rotten luck to be picked by him

now everything just boiling over..

I was thinking more about Anthony West's post about how much he sacrificed to be there and how he'd never simply let someone through.

I can realistically say that in CSBK I am about as competitive as West is in motoGP. Neither of us are going to be at the front, mid pack would be a great achievement for both of us. In our respective series were are similar in how competitive we are.

With that said, there's no way I would try to race with someone if they were a championship contender and had to start behind me due to penalty. We're in the same race but we aren't. They don't belong with me and I don't belong with them. If I was in that position I can say with 100% certainty that I would let them through, then get down to business racing against those who I do belong with.

Great sportsmanship you got there.

Cant say the same about those spoiled brats.

They get the benefit of the call because of their general conduct, if they were always involved in controversy (hate to say it but like MM) they would stop getting those benefit of a call judgements in their favour..
I was referring to VR getting the benefit. Rossi86 mentioned VR should get the penalty over turned because of his star power.

I am really curious about what the other riders think. I mean, anyone who is usually outside the top ten isn't going to be able to keep Rossi behind them for more than a few corners. All they will accomplish by not letting him through is hindering his chances to get to the front, so is that what they want to do?

Its hard to know whats in the heads of other competitors and who or why a back marker would hold up a championship rider is a odd thing.
I race yachts, often in mixed fleets so the guy in front of you may not be a guy your trying to beat, but sometimes they will try and keep you from going over or under them (its a wind thing) . Letting through a guy like Rossi may not be in the program for every out of contention rider.

MotoGP updated their facebook cover, lol!

My cousin races yachts too, out of whitby harbor as far as I know :)

I don't race yachts but I was right about this MM/VR affair from the get go. That's kind of a win.

I think it would be prudent for the slower guys(below top 10) to not hold up Rossi. But at the same time, they're not being lapped so I think it would only be fair and respectful for all of the riders to not just change their racing line to let Rossi pass.

There are many Hondas in the grid, not just Pedrosa and MM, so I am assuming there will be some team orders secretly coming down the pipe for the guys in the back.

Why would Honda care who wins out of the two Yamahas?
