It's under appeal, but that's the plan so far.
I thought the appeal was already denied?

IF Lorenzo wins, he needs to come in 2nd. If Lorenzo is 2nd, he has to come in 4th.
Imo, it's not over yet. Anything can still happen. Lorenzo can still crash. It can still rain. etc etc etc

I think the appeal that was denied was Lorenzo's appeal for a harsher penalty.
I think the last two races qualify as "big drama".
So now the title is in Jorge's hands unless there's big drama at the final round. And I expect there will be.
Lorenzo is being a dick, he should mind his own business and win on skill rather then by making sure Ross is penalized enough to guarantee his victory.
Pretty much the only non-****** amongst the four of them.

Rossi harassed a terrier, the dog bit his ass and he didn't like it so he kicked the dog. Rossi wanted a war and he has got one, now enjoy the race in Valencia with the dog up his ass.
Am not a fans of JLo but I think he deserves this championship more than Rossi. Rossi definitely has a classy way to end his career.

Exactly! If Lorenzo beat Rossi for the title I'd have some respect for him even though I don't like him. But at the press conference after the race, he was unbearable. He basically wants the title handed over to him because even with MM's help, he still can't win it! How can you possibly consider yourself a world champion if you're afraid a rider starting from the back of the grid might beat you. He mentioned the possibility of rain again, wtf is everybody else going to race in the dry while Lorenzo will race in the rain? When Vale retires, motgp's ratings will go downhill for sure no one will want to watch Lorenzo and Marquez win races...
And then there's reality, which is that Rossi called Marquez out on his deliberate interference in the championship and Marquez went and proved him right by slowing him down needlessly in Sepang. Rossi lost his head and drove Marquez wide where they collided and Marquez crashed out.
Rossi made the mistake, but Marquez is still the *** hole in all this.
Lorenzo didn't appeal anything - he has no option to. Yamaha appealed the Race Direction decision to award Rossi 3 penalty points. That takes the decision up to the FIM, who then rejected the appeal. With that rejection following the appeal, the decision is confirmed, and that is that. Rossi starts at the back of the grid in Valencia.

Spot on... Now do one of the Italians say 'misjudge' their braking in Valencia and 'accidentally' run Lorenzo off the track.. 2 weeks ago I would have called such speculation crazy, but now... whoa. Anything's possible!
I don't think nationality has anything to do with it. If Rossi were Spanish or Lorenzo were some other nationality, Marquez would still do the same because he's got a chip on his shoulder regarding Rossi and he's trying to prove some kind of childish point.

Are you Marquez's engineer or perhaps God? How did you know for sure that Marc deliberately slowed Rossi down?
I tell you what my friend, Rossi accused Marc of helping JLo because Marc wanted to beat Rossi's record. He said it would be easier to beat his record if JLo wins the championship.
Now what if I say that Rossi doesn't want anyone to beat his record and that he sees Marc as a real threat because of his age and his skills. What if Rossi's ego was so big that he couldn't see things clearly and started blaming other riders.
Aren't we all very good in judging other people? What Dani said about Rossi said one thing before and then another thing later on was right.

Sorry, to clarify, I was particularly referring to Iannone since they are pals off the track... that and the fact Dovi hasn't been a factor in months
and you're right, it's definitely more about Rossi than any Spanish allegiance

I knew something like this was going to happen. I told friends and the wife that one of the top five was gonna go down in a controversial move and it happened.
I'm a rossi fan but don't agree with what he did at all. It's a shame really considering this year has been a great championship. He should have kept his head. Now I really don't care who wins as if feel the championship is tainted, big time.
If rossi somehow wins, it can be said he wasn't punished enough and was lucky to win with such a dick move.
If lorenzo wins, it would be because of Marquez help the last two races people will argue. No matter how much overy the years I've tried to like him, I just can't with the things he says.
Marquez will be known as toying with other riders and helping lorenzo.
Either way I'm not happy with any of the parties actions or statements. Its all kind of childish school games.Sad really.

I don't remember Rossi being on Simoncelli's side when he broke Padrosa's collarbone and cost him the championship... do you?
I think a lot of people feel the same.. it's too bad
