MotoGP 2015

I only started watching motogp last year. I am upset that I didn't start watching sooner. I watch no other sports or motorsports but watching these guys race has me on the edge of my seat all the time. I don't even care who wins it is so much fun to watch them give it their all. As for someone saying the other two guys should not be giving it 100% because they have no chance at the championship that is crazy. Now taking someone out that is in the championship hunt that would be different. That race I only saw professional and highly skilled passes. It looked like a moto3 race you never new who would win. I am seriously considering ponying up the dough for a motogp subscription next year. Can you imagine when Suzuki has another year under its development belt, and if Aprilia can get its bike competitive. That Ducati is a beast in a straight line though and AI can ride! That double pass was spectacular. If Rossi wins the championship I think it will be the proudest of his career, he will have earned it riding against what seems to be the strongest racing field in history.

You are wrong, when you are a competitor you compete to win
Yes his thinking is way off, if anything Marquez helped and Ianonne was the dick, but as zx600 said they all want to win and they aren't out there to do each other favours.

If Iannone and Rossi were teammates, I think Iannone might have pulled over to let Rossi pass. Might...

Senna said it best
By being a racing driver you are under risk all the time. By being a racing driver means you are racing with other people. And if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver because we are competing, we are competing to win. And the main motivation to all of us is to compete for victory, it's not to come 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th.

The Moto3 race was extra nutty! Almost half the field out. Several guys going off the track from the lead pack only to catch up and be in contention a handfull of laps later!!

Thanks Johnscrusier for posting these!

Watching the GP race now. I love how Lorenzo is always yammering on about his "bad luck". Iannone's luck on lap 2 or 3 is legit bad luck.

I agree with the responses in regard to my post as I'm just being selfish. I really want Rossi to take the championship back this year. And I can't say I've ever liked Jorge much either. I was dying to see the battle between the two.

That Kent/Bastianini crash was not pretty.

Every racer is paid millions of dollars in salary and sponsorship money to do the best they can to represent the team they are on, the marque they represent and the brands that they endorse. In addition, there are personal statistics like how many wins they take a season and how many championship points they end the season with that will forever be recorded in the books. All of these numbers affect their future earning.

Exactly! Although top MotoGP riders don't get paid nearly as much as F1 drivers (which I think ridiculous) but they still earn a lot. Just watch the video below.

It is only ridiculous to people like you or I, who are fans of MotoGp. To the rest of the world, this only makes sense..... which is why it is all the more important to continue to promote this amazing spectacle to your non interested friends. Sure, 90% of them will not even want to listen to you, but if you get to a couple that is what we need in North America.

Yea those girls were paid models to be there... sad

JL got in serious crap in Spain for this same video, turns out that during the video, the editors added an image of a bunch of ham legs hanging on a fridge, because ham seems to be a big deal in Spain and the times right now are really hard and many people are starving, they got really mad that JL was showing the extravagance of food at his home while others were starving. His answer was "those are not my Jams"

Here is some trivia, which most MOTOGP fans already know

Ironically none of my friends are MotoGP fans, although most of them think they are Rossi. Another funny thing is that MotoGP is more popular in Indonesia than in NA even though the majority of people there ride scooter.

This is so true and that's the reason less of a fuss is made of Kevin Shwantz' championship than any other. To appreciate the significance of that one must bear in mind he's a Texan.
As for the race itself, I have to say it's probably one of the best ever. You can just sense the razor thin edge the front guys were on the whole race. Coming from a very fast street rider, that's saying something but I don't mind giving credit where it's due. I can barely wait for the next round.

Are you for real?

Phillip Island was nuts, can't remember the last race that I watched that was this involved for the top 4 through the entire race.

Going to be at the Sepang Circuit this weekend, can't wait. Kuala Lampur is going to be crazy. Has anyone been to the circuit before? Any tips?

Must be difficult for him to find real girlfriend who is short enough and willing to put up with his PITA personality LOL

Never really understand Lewis Hamilton contract, he gets paid that much to drive "any man can win" car??
Are all Daimler top managements idiots spending that much money for one driver? Don't get me wrong, I think LH is a great driver but if I were the Daimler's boss I will put Ricciardo or Grosjean in that car and I'm sure they will still be able to win the championship. Will save a lot of money which I can use to develop the car to stay in front of other manufacturers.
