One hell of a race, but....
Marques is a total d!c as far as I'm concerned. Only two races left and he's got something to prove?!! He has no chance at the championship and should have let Rossi battle it out with Lorenzo for top spot.
If I'm wrong please tell me I'm wrong and why.

I was musing about that as well as I too am a fan of the underdog but gave my head a shake when I saw MM and AI greet their respective teams immediately post race.

Every racer is paid millions of dollars in salary and sponsorship money to do the best they can to represent the team they are on, the marque they represent and the brands that they endorse. In addition, there are personal statistics like how many wins they take a season and how many championship points they end the season with that will forever be recorded in the books. All of these numbers affect their future earning potential.
It makes absolutely no sense to jeopardize your personal pride and financial stability just because Rossi/Lorenzo fans personally want to see a 2-man grid.
Also, how would you feel winning a race knowing that you were not the fastest and somebody moved over for you. There will be forever a taint on your record and how you won it. If I was Lorenzo or Rossi, I would feel better knowing that I took the championship fair and square and owed nobody for any favours done during a race.

See the damage to the bike? He's got his messed up shoulder, a huge hole in the front of his bike, wow, what a ride. That double mid corner pass? Best pass of the year.
This is so true and that's the reason less of a fuss is made of Kevin Shwantz' championship than any other. To appreciate the significance of that one must bear in mind he's a Texan.
As for the race itself, I have to say it's probably one of the best ever. You can just sense the razor thin edge the front guys were on the whole race. Coming from a very fast street rider, that's saying something but I don't mind giving credit where it's due. I can barely wait for the next round.

As much as I'm a fan of VR, you gotta work for the championship. MM and AI want podiums regardless. Makes this more exciting with two rounds left.
I found it funny how JL was very happy with AI podium at parc ferme, he had a different tune yesterday haha
Rossi was very thankful to MM
Excited for Sepang (that race anything can happen!)
