MotoGP 2014

Well, looks like single tyre manufacture it is after Bridgestone leaves, from the MotoGP site:

'At the beginning of May 2014 Dorna, in agreement with the FIM, openend a tender for tyre manufacturers interested in becoming Official Tyre Supplier to MotoGP from the 2016 season.
Interested tyre manufacturers were able to request the technical specifications from Dorna’s Managing Director Javier Alonso, with three potential tyre suppliers initially expressing an interest – before Michelin alone made a formal tender before the 22nd May deadline.
The next step in the process will be the drawing out of a commercial agreement between Dorna and Michelin as Official Tyre Supplier, Michelin having already clearly proven its technical abilities to respond to the needs of a demanding Grand Prix racing schedule.'

Hey thanks for the link. Is this a stable site to access the races. I dont mind watching the race a day later. The only other option I had (without purchasing the videopass through motogp site) was using motorsportreplays. But that site has been down for the past couple of weeks.

I wouldn't call it stable, no. I used to have the races up only seconds after the race was finished but Dorna banned my MotoGP.com account, credit card, ip address (well actually my modem id :(), etc. so now I have to rely on those blokes over in the UK and either they've got crappy internet over there or buddie who's doing the capturing has a crappy cpu/encoding setup so it takes him between 8 and 12 hours to get the races up (after they finish). You can watch it live, for free, on cricfree.tv but it's a horrible quality stream and drops out a lot (MAKE SURE you install adblock plus before you go there, if it tells you to update your flash player DO NOT CLICK THAT).
 
hey thanks for the info. Greatly appreciated. Ever since Rogers stopped broadcasting Speed channel, I,ve been looking at all options to watch the races. I dont mind waiting a day to find out the results. As long as I get to see it in half decent quality. Its good enough for me.

Moto3 and MotoGP races were absolutely down to the wire! I'm very happy for my MCN Fantasy League changes this week. All three of my guys have won in each of their classes.

The Italian crowd is absolutely mental for Rossi.
 
hey does anyone know why MM is winning every race? sure he must be a good rider. but is his bike faster as well? this makes me think, if MM, JL, VR and DP are all on the same bike. i wonder how the race will go. lol

DP is on the same bike.

Putting everyone on the same motorcycle doesn't really prove anything. It all depends on how well the rider's style matches the bike's strength, as well as how the team can set-up the bike for the specific track and conditions they are racing on that day.

But bottom line, MM is just a much better rider than the rest. Period.

Thanks for the tip, I just got the Moto2 and Moto3 races up on my server (same link as above), I'll go watch them now.

Loved all the pure yellow smoke for Rossi, I'll have to see if I can find out where to purchase that :)

Did you watch this race? If LL had 2% more tires and 1% less mistakes on the last lap he would have had the win. MM had the balls to fight back and stick with him even when LL was being so aggressive.
