Never liked Stoner, but I believe if he had stayed on, he would be the only one that could give MM a hard time.

You are really asking an impossible question for a long list of reasons. Just consider one and that is the fact that at least there would be a fight every race ... every race he would be challenged. MM doesn't like to concede, he'd rather crash on his terms .... last two years he has not been pushed that much. JL settles comfortably for second third whatever is available, that plays into MM's cards ... Stoner factor would certainly change that and that could lead to variety of outcomes.

Another thing, would Honda be developing bike around Stoner or MM? There's been always a lot of love for Stoner in Honda's garage.

Also, MM benefited from Stoner's departure by adding key members of Stoner's crew into his team ... Stoner's guys were a great setup crew.

Stoner would have won a few races last year, and when MM started winning... Stoner would have become lactose intolerant.
 
Not surprised about Honda and MM sticking together. More interested in where the others go next year (or don't)

I believe the 3 factories stay the same. If by chance Rossi hangs it up, that seat would go to P. Espargaro.

Suzuki will go with DePuniet and (i'll guess) Bautista. Redding gets the prototype Honda at Gresini.

Seriously... HRC needs to ditch Pedrobot and put someone else in that seat that will give Marq a good fight next season. 8 years on a Factory Honda and he hasn't won a Championship.
 
Why would a racing team want two guys that will potentially tangle and take each other out every single lap in every single race? Pedrosa is actually the perfect team mate: strong enough to be a tailgunner to mess with other contenders, but not trip up Marquez in his bid for another title. HRC gets a title, constructors points and two riders that arrive on the podium safely every race to advertise the Repsol brand.

Not good for the fans, but good for HRC.

He's also the 3rd best rider out there behind MM and JL.
 
Did you not see the last race last year when Lorenzo pushed him off track, Dani showed his killer edge. Dani, is one of the best but he needs to stop worrying about putting points on the board and go for the kill.

p.s. I love Dovi and even he couldn't be as consistent on the Honda when they had 3 factory riders.
