MotoGP 2014

Crutchlow still whining.
Sure, his brakes failed, so of course that's understandable - hes' got a beat up pinky too.
But, he still basically says that his Ducati still sucks at the end of the article.

In the post race rider interviews he had some pretty harsh words for Ducati/the team! http://ps255434.dreamhostps.com:537..., Spain - Gran Premio bwin de Espana 720p.mp4

i don't think he did - he said it was not acceptable and losing your brakes completely during a race it isn't acceptable, he also said the team did a great job with the bike setup and he was doing great until he lost his brakes.

He also said that being happy with 23 seconds behind the race winner is also not acceptable.

I am glad he is inserting some urgency but he should have known this was going to happen when he took the check from Duc.

Exactly! You get what you're paid for!

I can understand Cal's frustration with the bike failing but come on, we all know he was chasing a pay cheque. He didn't really expect to jump on that Ducati and start winning did he? Cry me a river.

Just like every rider who's jumped on that bike, I think in the back of his mind he really did think he would be the one to turn it around, or at least capitalize on the changes that were going on with the bike and Ducati/Audi.

All those riders/athletes at the highest level have a surplus of self-confidence that gives them a mental edge over those with just talent. It's a shame that belief in oneself and talent can't overcome bad machinery.

Just watched the race.

Best rider on the best machine. I see no reason for this pattern to stop. Kid is fast.

In the back of their heads, they were all thinking "It can't be THAT bad". SURPISE SUCKA!

I still think the Ducati was the best (only?) bike for Crutchlow to ride. Yamaha was not going to sign him to a factory machine. At most, they would have given him a satellite bike, but where was he going to ride it? Tech3 had Espargaro and Smith signed. All the Honda seats were full. So it was the ducati, or an open class bike.

They made him an offer but he turned it down because they were giving Pol factory support... and the pay cheque. He knew the bike he was getting and in turn Ducati knew his reputation for bad mouthing equipment. Neither of them have a right to whine about it now.

I still think he made the right move, despite the whining.

So do I, but my opinion is probably biased due to my bank account being much different than his (before he made the choice). It's hard to think different, unless your pockets are already deep. Don't know about you.

Dovi rides the **** out of that Duc bike. I wana see Dani and dovi on the suzuki. See what suzuki brings back to motogp.

I wouldn't want to be on that team in their first year back. That's like buying the first year of a new model bike or car. Let them test/develop for a couple of years and then swoop in like a superhero when all the problems have been sorted.

MotoGP noob here but..let's say hypothetically that Stoner stayed in Motogp...do you guys think he'd be beating Marquez this season?

I don't believe he would. Marquez is in a league of his own. Stoner would most likely be battling it out for 2nd. It would make for an exciting chaser group of Stoner, Rossi, Pedrosa and Lorenzo. Although Lorenzo would probably be a consistent 5th according to his performance this year.
