MotoGP 2012

I found this kind of interesting from the recent Rossi interview on the motogp website.

Rossi discounted a possible return to a Japanese bike in the earlier press conference as unlikely, though "not impossible, but we (Ducati) started this project and we want to win something. I would like to help Ducati achieve something."

Who would he go to? He didn't like how Honda treated him and not sure about Yamaha? If this season doesn't go well i wouldn't be surprised if he did leave. Im sure not winning will start to bother him. I hope he does start winning again this year on the new bike though.

I hope Rossi will find a good set up soon . today finished in 7th spot .(2m 1.886s )
0.99s behind Stoner .

My wife and I got the videopass again this year and have been following the testing..

The CRT bikes aren't doing near as good as I had hoped they would... Good to see Edwards enjoying himself developing that bike though.

Also booked tickets for Indianapolis in August! Super excited. Anyone else thinking about going?

I got the video pass as well, second year, I like watching the races at my own time and get all the updates

hey I'm thinking of going to Indy as well .....went last year and it was FANTASTIC but I should have brought ear plugs for at least some of the time cause man does it echo in the stands

Livio Suppo on the championship

As for predictions how the other manufacturers will do in the 2012 season, Suppo’s answer was discreet. "I think the championship this year will remain the same, like the last few years, with Casey, Dani and Jorge fighting for the top positions."

Oh no you didn't .. Snap snap

Ben Spies needs to pick it up

and the last few years? Rossi won 2009

I think Suppo's prediction is more less spot on.
I think Spies is a race win contender for sure, but still not at championship level.

I think Stoner is going to run away with it again. He's far superior to Pedrosa, and from what I can tell, Honda got it right again.

Going to make my Season predictions, flame away if you will

1-)Lorenzo
2-)Stoner (very close)
3-)Spies (wins 3 races)
4-)Pedrosa
5-)Valentino (more of a wishful thinking than anything)

1)Stoner (hope not though)
2)Lorenzo
3)Pedrosa (if he doesn't break himself)
4)Spies
5)Valentino
6)Hayden (could be a toss up with dovi)
7)Dovi
8)Bautista

Hope there's some surprises this season and casey doesn't run away with it again.

Gonna stick to common wisdom:

1) Stoner
2) Lorenzo
3) Pedrosa
4) Spies

Gonna be close for the 2nd pack of riders, but these three will be in the mix:

5) Rossi
6) Dovi
7) Bautista

+1 .... Only injuries could mix up the top 4. Perhaps Ben could out ride Pedro. the next 3 could be all the difference how many wet races there's. A couple of fully wet races could give Rossi enough ...

I think he would have no other choice but gracefuly retire.Ducati payed him EU15 mill, and it was almost double then Yamaha offered him at the time.Time has passed, his stats got worst . If he doesn't do anything really good with Ducati this year, his reasonable options will be very limited....Kinda like Beckham next season..Or Chris Bosh after the Heat..

Hopefully Rossi get's his game together this season. still the real hero for many of us fans.
I wounld'nt fully discount Pedrosa if he's riding healthy and doesn't let the head game get to him. Wish him well.
Likey though it's going to be allot of Stoner / Lorenzo dicing and let's see if Spies can really get in the mix more consistently.

I was thinking the same thing. Dont see him getting a factory seat with Yamaha or Honda. Perhaps a satallite bike with them, but that would probably be a big hit to the ego....maybe if suzuki comes back next season. I hope he can get on the podium more then once this year.
