CUPE in BC was bitching about clearing the DTES. Argue for worker safety if they want but they were clearly playing a political game.I'm getting tired of all the union ads, particularly the ones that are in disguise.
Political groups have to disclose who us behind ads, why not unions?
I'm all for collective bargaining, but I think the rules should be fair for each side. We elect politicians to do our bidding, why do we allow them to be so spendthrift with our money?
When there is no alternate source of service strikes should be banned.I'm getting tired of all the union ads, particularly the ones that are in disguise.

If you thought our public services was slow before.. oh boy...
I just watched a union ad.
Sadly i was sipping a shot of Dalmore 12. It shot out my nose when I watched an ad telling me the majority of govt workers make less than $42000/year and rely on food banks.
That ad cost me $12 in scotch.
That table shows JT has increased the size of the public service by a whopping 30% since his coronation.Population of the federal public service - Canada.ca

Pinning down what a civil servant makes is not easy. There are too many organizations cherry picking numbers and confusing averages with medians. Then there are benefits on top of salaries and they are generous and for life.
Lack of bang for the buck is my biggest complaint.
But does he use food banks? Not all benefits are generous and for life , it depends on which “union” your in and location . Don’t get me wrong it’s better than most private sector gigs , but not all gravy at all levels .
Son is a simple servant , makes 70ish , Monday to Fri and he’s in AB so his cost of living is better , and he can retire at 53 should be choose. He gets 4wks vacay so things are ok for a young man.
