F them. Public sector unions are a cancer. They need to be cut out. Unions made sense when employers were treating staff as disposable. Now they are just obstructionist and another layer of wasted overhead that increase costs while reducing productivity.

Get a job you like and never work again has become get a government job and never work again.

Sorry, as I know there are government employees on the forum with many being diligent servants of the public.

I knew some WWII German servicemen as well and they were good people but in a different time and place my uncles would have shot them.

German Motel owner in Niagara Falls was in the Luftwaffe flying Messerschmitts in WWII. Another business owner in the Falls was in the RAF flying Mosquitos. They got to talking about the old days one time at a tourist association meeting back in the 70s. Found out they were both fighter pilots. They started matching up missions and dates. Turned out the German guy had shot down the British guy in a dogfight.
