Yeah, Aki Berg, member of the silver medal winning Olympic team, can't play for the Lafs. Wake up! Yeah, put Wozniewski in there instead. :roll: They're called the minors for a reason you know. Let's trade Berg to Detroit for nothing and pay half his salary so he can play on the second defence pair and win a Cup, just like Larry Murphy (the last defencemen to get run out of town by the fans..). God, you guys remind me of Stormin Norman Rumack and all Canuck fans!!!

Heehee..yeah, maybe so. :lol: But I still remember the Owen Nolan trade..for McAuley, Boyes and a first round pick. Not criticizing the trade (good or bad..), but they're damned if the do, and damned if they don't. If they didn't get Nolan, everyone would accuse them of not making a run for the playoffs, being too cheap etc. If they do get him, everyone rags them about dumping all the youth for old guys! Fans..FANS!!!! Sigh..

You must be the only member eh... :lol: just playing, is that also in relation to the Ponivorscky and Antropov fan club or the Hougland one as well. lol What a bum that guy was! Go Vancouver, cuz hopefully that Canadian team will go far, besides the Sens but who likes them lol (knowing there are a lot of Sens fans here :wink: ) ah well my pick to win the cup has to be Carolina.

has anyone noticed that the only Canadian team not in the playoffs is Toronto?

We know for sure that Ottawa, Calgary are in playoffs for sure, Montreal, Vancouver and Edmonton are in and fighting it out quite well.

ha ha.. I will laugh if Toronto is the only team that does not make the playoffs out of all Canadian team out there.

I hate the 'Nucks as well..hate's maybe too strong. I've been watching Calgary lately..I just love their defence corps. Phaneuf is just awesome to watch..especially since he plays my style of game.. :lol: But seriously, they are tough and fast. I watched the game and thought to myself, how could Toronto compete against them!?! It's like they're in two different leagues..35 year old fat guy beer league like me (Lafs..) and the NHL. I really think Edmonton and Calgary will go farther than the Canucks. Ottawa..while they're doing great, I wonder if they'll get worn down. They've made a lot of toughness improvements so I think they have a genuine shot. I've heard Emery is a head-case and wonder if someone can throw him off his game. We'll see. I love playoff hockey..
 
ya man i agree with u there that new Defence Phaneeuf they have is playing pretty amazing, Iginlia isnt making to much of splash, but ah well as long as one canadian team makes it to the semi finals ill be happy. Looks like the Leafs are SOL.

they have been using the clubs the whole year, thats the problem.
 
lol, those bums aint going nowhere i wish they would win the cup but i doubt there even gonna make the playoffs. Oh well at least summer is almost here so i wont be to ****** ill just be riding a lot :P .
 
theres a slight chance the leafs may make the playoffs, looks like the eagle is on his back for the rest of the season.

I agree. This team needs a major transformation. Not that I care, but for all you leaf fans its better that they don't make the playoffs.

From scouting, this team hasn't drafted a half decent player since Wendel Clark. And if they do draft a half decent player he gets traded before he even wears a Maple Leafs Jersey. And the players that they do keep suck the bag. The leafs have the worst player developing system. Coaching to ownership this team will never win a cup in the next 20 years without some major changes. GO WINGS!
 
And Tellqvist is the future goaltender for the Leafs! :roll:


Like I said, this team has major major issues.
 
tellqvist isnt the future...leafs drafted Justin Pogge who won the juniors with team canada...he was solid in the tournament

This Pogge kid is 2-3 years away before getting in to the line up. Regardless I feel sorry for Pogge because the Leafs developing system sucks the bag.
