7 points out with five games to go. typical leafs still giving their faithful fans a slight flicker of hope. :x
 
It would be better for Leaf fans if they dont make the playoffs. If they do make the playoffs, Fergason will then say Oh! we just need to make a few changes to be a contender for the Stanley Cup.

And those changes would be at free agency time and the Leafs would pick up 2 washed up veterans that want to retire with the Maple Leafs.

Now that the Leafs have been officially eliminated. Let the disection from Leafnation begin. Call Ferguson jr., with all your wonderful ideas. I am sure he would love to hear from you. Also the term "Next Year" will be over used in the coming weeks and months.

Ah don't worry folks. I am not Leaf bashing. Just I find Leaf fans irritating with all the excuses they have come up with since 1967. :D

no they didn't, they did what they do every year:

1. play half-assed crappy hockey until you have 15 games left
2. play really well just to squeak into the playoffs
3. lose in the playoffs

only this time, they didn't pull #2 off. good thing i gave up on the "sport" just as they got locked out.
 
there are those fans that never give up on the leafs and there are those fans that will lightly bash them and say they suck until they make a playoff run like calgary did and then everyone will be on the bandwagon, except the real leafs fans that were already there to begin with.

if you dont like the leafs you will once they make a run for the cup. bandwagoning to its finest.
 
I think Quinn's reign of terror is done. He's had more than enough time to try and win a cup for Toronto. Andy Murray, Paul Maurice??

I hate to argue in these stupid things, but the Leafs finished in the top half of the playoff format for the previous 5 years. Sheesh, I HATE hockey fans.. :roll:

Assuming he had the horses to do it?? Why is it some people $hit on the Leafs because the players are no good but the coach is supposed to get them to the Cup? And the other half $hit on the coach saying HE'S no good but the players are!!!!

I don't think the fans have to find any excuses..they aren't playing or making decisions on the team. What control do they have over the team?!?!
 
I believe Quinn has to go just for the fact that he and Ferguson do not communicate very well. They are 2 guys on different spectrums and I think that Quinn sees Ferguson as some boy scout trying to rule his leader.

Something has to give.

no the Coach Quinn needs to go.. they need something new and fresh... finally the season that maple leafs had not manage to grab a playoff spot... that'll be something to tell my grandkids..
