no the Coach Quinn needs to go.. they need something new and fresh... finally the season that maple leafs had not manage to grab a playoff spot... that'll be something to tell my grandkids..

It's too bad you didn't follow the Leafs in the 80's. It felt like the Dark Ages.:D

To be honest, I think Toronto's major problem over the years has been the inability to bring young talent up through the system well. With the league the way it is now, and with the salary cap, they cannot go out and buy all the good players. They have to improve the players and talent already within their farm system.

This year they did better than the past. Stajan and Steen were solid for the team. The thing is they need a coach that will give the young guys more of a shot. Unfortunately, Quinn likes his veterans. Maurice took Carolina a long way with a young team so he knows how to bring along young talent.

peca for $2.5 or lindros for $1.5. did the leafs do the right thing and stay away from #88?

should be good to see peca and tucker on the same line as they have alot of bad blood towards each other.

Peca and Tucker are fine now, no bad blood. The Big-E is just too risky, hes been hurt every season since he came into the NHL
 
I like the Peca deal over Lindros. Doesn't make a difference, Leafs are still going to suck. :D
 
LEAFS SUCK!!!!! I could take them myself with my hands and legs tied behind my back. They will only win the stanley cup once they are the only team left in the league and even then they'd prolly lose.
 
Awesome! We just signed that snipper Wade Belak for one more year. The cup is coming back to Toronto now :roll: :D

What a goof this Feguson is.

It's going to be another long year for Leaf Fans.
 
For crying out loud, it's July 26th.

Give it a rest for a few months. Gonna be lots of time to whine and cry when hockey season starts.

And really, LEAFS SUCK, is that such a big revelation? Think that started back in the mid sixties, didn't it?
 
Leafs going to s-u-c-k even more this year. And they'll continue to suck until Furgie get fired. Problem wasnt with P.Q. - it was furgie. Ever since Furgeson became a GM - he didn't make a single good deal that would stand out.... and again this year he picked up garbage and left old farts to play.... no way leafs are making playoffs this year... I look at other teams rosters and it gives me chills - leafs...i just laugh, they wouldn't win even if they'd get placed into OHL...
 
I think the biggest problem is that Toronto is not a band-wagon city. The Leafs will keep making money win or lose. People need to stop watching for a while to make the owners (a corporation) worry about not making any money. Then they will make changes that will help them win... Winning means nothing to a company, only making money matters - and they know how to do that..
If we had some strange multi-millionaire single owner who took pride in building a winning team, then there would be something to cheer about..
