MAPLE LEAFS SUCK

Don't get me started about this. I've been a Leaf fan for many years and been to a lot of game and it is so fustrating to view thier proformace as professionals. I really have to stop now because I starting to get really into a bad mood and I don't want to think about them anymore tonight.
 
well 10th place is still better than 15th :p, and considering how there are 4 teams with 1 point more than the leafs ahead of them... i don't see it as a tremendous enough deal to attack their "professional" skill
if they win friday they're in 4th, if everyone else wins they're back to 10th

its WAAAAY to early to be bitching and moaning about the Leafs, despite their grammatically incorrect team name and questionable coaching/managerial staff :p

No, they are not in last yet. Give up on them the 2nd week into the season and you'll sleep better at night:p
 
It was painful to watch last night. They play great for 40 minutes but they got killed in the 20 minutes they play like crap. They have to start putting in a solid 60 minute performance. It's not that the team has bad players. The moral is simply really low and shows on the ice. There some points where they look like they're goofing in a shinny outing. And for christ's sake! Get the puck in deep and stop wanking with it in the neutral zone.

Actually, with the exception of a handful of guys who should be traded while they're still worth something, I think the problem is that the team IS FULL of bad players!? When's Weller and Steen and the rest of the "future" gonna start playing like we were told they're supposed to???? this team is laughable at best, moral has ****-all to do with it!

Actually, I think Steen has put in some solid performances the past few games. The problem is consistency. They have to be able to play at that level day in, day out.

Regarding future, I think the Leafs should let Sundin go to a team capable of winning a Stanley Cup to get some good draft picks in return. This team is due for a proper rebuilding phase. The problem is that the ownership doesn't care how well the team does on these ice as long as they draw fans. Sundin will draw more fans than some future draft picks so it won't happen.
 
They are anch of bums, all of them, owners, players, scalpers, all of them. As long as the "bottom line" is in the "black". Nothing will change ! It's up to us, "the fans" to change this team. I say, stop supporting these bums and put our money and effort into the olyimpic team.

With all the media surrounding the leafs' last 12 games or so, I really think that change will happen, as ownership is starting to see it in the bottom line. I figure kids these days aren't going to follow their parents' alliegences to a sub-par team, they'll instead go out and buy the Senators and Penguins jerseys, as those teams set examples in terms of skill, finesse and success. Leafs will slowly start to slip as "Canada's team" and it will hurt revenues, regardless of how full the ACC is night after night. Something WILL happen with this team before the deadline, and Leaf fans can only hope that Sundin waves his no-trade clause, but comes back next year anyway!

I would like to get back to hating the Leafs, instead of just feeling bad for 'em.

I think it's management that has to go, not necessarily Sundin. He is still the number 1 point getter for the Leafs, so why not trade some of his non-producing line mates for someone who will be able to help him?

JFJ doesn't seem to feel the need to do it, so get rid of him.

Drop the goalies. There's no reason the Leafs should be playing a 2nd rate goalie as their starter. Toskala has been a back-up goalie for how long? He doesn't have the skill to start and finish every game. perhaps after a few years of it, maybe.

To me, it would make sense to rebuild from the Net forward. Improve your ability in net, beef it up with some smart, skilled defencemen, then go ahead and build up the forwads. As long as the Defence and Golaies do their job, it doesn't matter what sort of goals are being scored for us.

That's just the way i see it
