man plows through motorcyclists

Dude was being swarmed. Biker crew was creating an uncomfortable situation simply by their ****** group ride tactics (I have seen this nonsense here too). For whatever reason that the vid doesn't show, a small group boxes in the truck and begins to slow it down.

I would take that as aggression. Not grounds for running over someone yet, but it's still action with some intention to follow in my eyes.

Once they stop me, it's all over. One guy stops me, i'm getting out and finding out what the problem is. That many, screw that. You're that bright to do that nonsense as a pack to someone?

I don't blame the driver one bit.

Pack mentality is stupid, however it exists.

Though Mieses is a Massachusetts resident, he has never had a valid Massachusetts driver’s license for a passenger vehicle and has never applied for a motorcycle license, the Registry of Motor Vehicles said.
Registry records show that Mieses applied for a learner’s permit in 1999 and 2000, but that he never obtained a full license because he failed to pay fines imposed after he was ticketed for speeding in Lawrence in 1999. His last contact with the Registry was in 2001, when he obtained an identification card, registry records show.

I guess another valuable lesson KNOW the group your planning to ride with. This ride was well publicized, (the police had already setup barriers to prevent it. A look on youtube would have revealed the groups riding style, (or complete lack thereof), as well as their intimidation and violent tactics. I won't be donating to his recovery fund.

His hospital bills are going to be enormous, and will bankrupt people.
It sounds like his family wants to go after the victim for the money.

Thats just awsome. The more I read and think about these clowns I think about thier family and parents, they must be so proud of thier kids!

Cops should bring in the military and round these cowards up. We did for a snow storm ;)
 
The driver of Gaga-Jeep is a coward for running over that rider. Calling him a p$ssy -would be a compliment. He should have stopped and dealt with it. Whatever happened next was provocative to the rest of the rider group. Police must consider that and check with psychologist the definition of provocative behavior. Under same circumstances any Patrol Popo might go raging. If bikers are charged for anything, the car driver must be charged and jailed for attempted slaughter. These cowards don't deserve driver license. I would not even issue transit pass to them.

I apologize how could I have not seen the video with the same clear insight with which you viewed it and reached the conclusion that the ONLY person who is at fault is the SUV driver. Your right he should be arrested and why stop at jailing him let's issue the death penalty for this obviously heinous crime. I imagine there is a move afoot as I type to hold a ticker tape parade for the "brave souls" on those sports bike, dirt bikes, and 4X4 quads.While w

e are at it we should again look at the G7 here in toronto, herald all the brave black block members, and charge the store owners for being so aduacious as to own fancy assed store fronts that were damaged.

I went to the first or one of the first motorcycle awareness rallies in the GTA.
I'd never do another. It wasn't as bad as NY, but it was trending that way.
Half of our small group split off from us, because we weren't weaving through traffic like the other groups.
Someone then raced from the back of the pack to the front, up a blind hill on the wrong side of the road.
I was later told that it had been one of the organizers of the event.

Even that could have turned sour, had some decided to do something extra bone-headed.
 
well people thought there was heavy enforcement at L&L before I can imagine it will be ramped up even more. If I had a sport bike in NY right now I would sell it as you will be spending more time sitting at police spot checks then riding.

The difference is that our community has learned from it. The one I attended was split up into a bunch of small groups, with one leader per group designated by the organizers and no reports of boneheaded behavior. Quite friendly and social. Zero aggression
