If Trump's term runs out without further action being completed (which I think is the most likely outcome, given the number of hurdles and time that either a 25th or impeachment would require), I don't think it will be taken any further. Biden has stated that he wants to move forward and unite the country (which is a tough challenge at this point), and most people are interpreting that as him not wanting to pursue any further legislative action.
The DoJ (supposedly) operates separately from the legislative branch ... they could continue with prosecution. State actions (Southern District of New York) are likely to continue. Civil lawsuits could continue. Even without being kicked out of office, Trump should have a whole heap of legal actions to deal with for a long time in the future, and he could end up in jail.
After Wednesday's day of reckoning, I don't think the Republican party will want to touch that hot mess. Some parts of it will remain blind to what has happened ... but that should diminish with time.

They aren't saying he can't speak, they are saying they won't pay him or help him distribute his message. That is miles away from infringement of the first amendment.
Maybe it's time to start including clauses in politicians contracts that distributing clearly false or misleading information is grounds for dismissal. I don't know what politicians would have to say if they were held to that standard though.

I think by definition it is not possible. If you run on the campaign of "I will raise taxes and cut services to attempt to create a stable sustainable government" and someone else runs on "I will spend freely, provide carbon energy rebates and save the seal pups and the budget will balance itself" who gets elected 100% of the time?
That's the thing, Hawley is not an idiot. I'm not saying he's right, but by everything on paper he should know better.
This is a guy who went to Yale and clerked for Chief Justice Roberts. Being a clerk for a Supreme Court Justice was described to me as being a major league all-star, the absolute best of the best.

Big difference between Western and Eastern media (cartoon vs anime, video games, story themes) is that Eastern stories are filled with **** tons of suffering often leading to the death of the main character. From things like Steins;Gate, Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, to Final Fantasy XV, the theme is clear: you either accept that life is suffering early on, or watch those around you suffer as a result of your cowardice. Why do you think these themes are repeated used in Eastern societies and so many Western audiences hate it? We were bred into that ****.

I've grown up thinking Western society was superior to the East, but right now, in 2021, Western society looks like it's spiraling into gross inferiority from where we're watching.
