Look outside...WOULD YOU RIDE TODAY??

I personally don't get the people who ride in 4 degrees, with the road wet and possibility of ice. Salt all over the place. Zero traction, and freezing your balls off. Where is the fun in that? Forget the fun, common sense anyone? Or is it just so that you can feel superior to others by claiming you are "hardcore"? lol

Some enjoy doing more than draggin' knee and going really fast; some just enjoy riding and taking in the scenery. A crisp cold morning is quite beautiful to drive in; birds chirping, light fog surrounding everything, sun poking out between the tree tops. The air smells nicer also.
Some just don't have any other form of transportation,.
Some do it to brag.
Some are crazy.
Some might also enjoy the cold more than the heat (I absolutely hate heat, love the cold.)

I likely would have been out today (or the next few) if not for:

1. Work
2. Salt/brine that's down already

Number 1 is a necessary evil of life, but as for 2, I don't know why the city/local government sees a need to spray down the roads when we are still seeing above 0 temps and/or no precipitation atm.

dont be mad cause u ride a moped hahaaha

Heh, not mad at all. You were telling me to be financially responsible which is why I got a small affordable (for me) bike. I just thought it would be hilarious if you were scared of a bit of rain while talking down on every bike thats not 600cc+.

Do you also park the bike when it rains, or there is a slight chance of a sprinkle?

i do that in a joking manner, dont take that **** seriously.

ps my niece wants to race you hahaahah

A lot of people are talking about salt/brine out, do you guys mean highways? I'm at UofT st.george and these past few days I've been taking my bike down through the roads (no highways) and I have yet to see any.

look at your fairings or cars around you. these days liquid deicing is more common, and less visible

Downtown in the cold isnt really an issue. Its not like im riding aggressively to go to the gym.

Either I can walk the 20 mins or take a 5 min bike ride. Ill be warmer on the bike thanks to my Dianese jacket than walking.

Let people do what they want.. what difference does it make to you?

I'm holding my breath until Sunday. TWN says 9C with "Close to 1mm" of rain. If the rain is early/late enough in the day, I'll be out for another spin.

15-20cm of snow up here...lucky you :(

I rode. But just becuase im a show off according to paul. Lol. Was perfectly warm and didnt have to deal with people pushing me on the ttc. Ill take lowered traction and going slighlty slower over the ttc any day. If i had a car it woild be a different situation but the bike does 80% of what i need so it doesnt make sense to get a car yet.
