And again, at least one was on a release order. I wouldn't be surprised if the kids were also know to police but heaven forbid you identify armed thieving dbags because they are young. I agree with the YA act for things like shoplifting but once you start bringing weapons into play, you should have to play in big boy court with big boy consequences.

Agreed. If the crime was spontanous and random the YO act. If it required planning and premeditation it's an adult event.
 
I’m having a hard time gathering up internal sympathy for criminals because they can get tortured if failing at being criminals…

I blame most (not all) single parent homes.
Here in the west they have some financial support. In other countries - not so much (I stand to be corrected if wrong).

At other times, employees at ServiceOntario have flagged suspicious activity, such as when the same person shows up dozens of times to register different vehicles. That was allegedly the case with Milton Hylton, who was charged with 168 counts of various Criminal Code offences in March.

He was released on bail, pending trial. No charges are yet proven.

Just for laughs:

I saw a Volvo ad on TV where they let you take European delivery of your new car, drive it in Europe on your vacation and then they ship it to Canada for you.

They don't mention the car gets stolen when it gets here and shipped back to Europe or the middle east.
 
Not auto theft but I'm not surprised to see this activity. Unsure if real or fake but watch yourself at red lights...
 
At a customers home yesterday (owns the Case tractor dealership in Binbrook) told me he just caught thieves in his shipping container storage at 5am. He could've blocked them in but was worried they would try and ram through his nice truck, and turns out the truck they were in was stolen anyways so good chance they would've.
Also had some a month ago, he heard the alarm go off, went back there and said he was 5 feet away from 3 men in skeleton balaclavas at 5am. Luckily they ran. That might cause the hair on the back of your neck to stand up.

Sprinklers loaded with permanent dye seem like a good start. Make them look like smurfs for a few weeks. Don't physically hurt them so you shouldn't get charged.

Blue dye for a few weeks = hurt feelings ∴ assault charge.
 
Friends buddy had his X7 stolen 2 nights ago.

Heard a noise in the living room at 3am so thought it was his autistic daughter.

Went down to find 4 guys in masks looking for his keys. They pointed a gun and said ‘keys and code for the immobilizer’

X7 was gone in 10min.

Now the second half, guy said cops told him they’re seeing kids coming in from South America being hired to steal cars and take off again to go back home after a few thefts. I’ll take that one with a grain of salt but nothing surprises me any more.
