You can't get me in trouble for cheating. Everybody was cheating. That is our culture.
F me. She should be straight up fired for publicizing how corrupt and incompetent the whole force is. Not in a whistle blower sense. She is just shocked that there were consequences for behaving poorly.
A high-ranking Toronto police officer who admitted to helping several members of the service cheat on promotional exams is appealing her demotion, arguing that she was “villainized” for conduct which was “rampant” throughout the organization.
That would be the honorable and ethical thing to do. Instead she sues and argues discrimination to enrich herself. Tps and yrps (and probably prps) need figurative bombs dropped in them. Starting again can't be much worse than the engrained garbage they have right now.

In my org we call it "F### up to move up".
Very few of our so called "leadership" are respected at all. Many have been promoted through nepotistic practices, favors, settlements or other shady means.
"Legal absurdity" is definitely the term that I would use but, as stated in the article, this is on Parliament. The court interpreted the law as written and when you explicitly state something, those things that aren't stated are automatically excluded. Sometimes being too specific works against you.
They give gun carry gangsters.. pedo's.. murderers and rapists bail...But you couldn't get this feeble old man out?
I hope this case gets examined.. starting with the arrest.
A former long-term care resident killed in an attack at Toronto South earlier this month went seven months in custody without a bail hearing, according to court documents.
I've noticed a guy at my gym all summer riding a motorcycle there with no plates on it. Yesterday he was wearing shorts, ankle monitor out for everyone to see. Moron.

Durham police deputy chief gets pulled over twice in two days for speedng. Once in a school zone, once more than 50 over. No tickets issued. DRPS asked Prps for an "independent investigation" (wtf, a different branch of your criminal enterprise is in no way independent) and prps sent the report to the Durham police board where it was covered with the cloak of secrecy. Reports on police malfeasance should be automatically posted online for all to see when issued and without the hassle of foi. Either they clear the speeding and ticketing cops or action is warranted but either way, hiding the answer only benefits the criminal organization not the public they are handsomely paid to serve.

Police have released a video they say shows a home invasion in Markham during which a Ferrari and BMW were stolen. York Regional Police said three suspects — all minors — have since been charged in connection with the incident, while two others remain outstanding. On Monday at around 4 a.m...
Sadly, the huge hammer that would come down on the homeowner would be more likely to make people reconsider defending themselves. Cops hate it when you do their job. The criminals are just on the catch and release program with no assets or consequences.

If they had a lockbox (I won't dignify something that flimsy with the name "safe") full of cash then this was 100% a targeted attack. In case anyone is wondering, I don't keep anything that's worth any real money in my house. That's what an insured bank is for

I don't think that's the case anymore.. We've had a few cases and precedents.. like the one in Milton.
The homeowner would have a lot of public support.
Ain't nobody scared of the police these days. Have a gun pointed at you? Keep running, or just jump in the driver seat and flea in your vehicle, while striking the cruiser... What a clown show.
