Re: Do you have to notify police you are recording them during an interaction....

I don't think that the other cops recognized it as being an unmarked. They were trying use a tactic in which multiple vehicles box in the suspect vehicle and then force it to slow down.

saw a variety of unmarked cars on the weekend. minivans, compact, sedans, various makes, not a crown vic or dodge charger.

They have a black pickup truck with a cap that has blacked-out windows here in Kingston. *****.

The OPP enjoy their blacked out Explorers and Yukons along the 401 from Woodstock to London.

Scary. Sometimes I drive around in my unmarked pickup truck and imagine I'm a cop from the perspective of imagining what my reaction might be when spotting poor driving. It's not like you can't go on even the most basic errand without seeing at least one major dick move. These cops, if they're even half as sharp as me, could do some real good public works if they chose to.

Used to be they drove North American manufactured cars, now it seems like anything and everything is game. Being the long weekend I avoided roadway use as much as I could, too much stupid out there.

Miss the days of driving my 91 T Bird and having everyone pull to the right and slow down for me to pass.

The 401 to Belleville, on Saturday morning, was like an OPP convention parking lot.

Havent Halton have had a ton of different vehicles over the years right? Fake Taxi's, Mini-Vans, Fake Bell Vans etc.

Port hope, Trenton (wooler road exit at the bottom of the hill) and Napanee are all hot spots (for shooting fish in a barrel) for the OPP.

Saw one in a 1/4 ton pickup with a cap(mazda?). Only common thing between these unmarked vehicles were they were all black, blacked out windows.

I stayed in Napanee, over the weekend, and it was the only place that I didn't see OPP.

Fluke. They have a big detachment there and they patrol the 41 like mad.

Sounds like a fricken police state already. What's a person to do? Well, I guess if I HAVE to ride or drive it'll HAVE to be with due care and attention. The roads used to be like an inner tube rapid ride for me. I guess those days are over.
