Late night thread

This sucks, up doing homework. Anyone wanna help, need to write an essay to submit before 11:59 noon today.

Philosophy stuff

Scenario Question - A teacher one day gets angry at a student. From underneath his desk he pulls out a bow and arrow. He sets it up, pulls the arrow back and releases the arrow across the room heading straight for a students forehead. If time never stops and is infinite, dose the arrow reach the student and kill him?

"In order for something to get 100% somewhere, it needs to get 50% there, and before that 25% there, and before that 12.5%, and before that 6.25% and so on until it's at the smallest amount of so somethings actually take forever to happen, even though there is a visual change of an impact or after effect instantly".

Anyone understand this mumbojumbo:confused:

I like philosophy but imo that question is just lame. My 3am brain says someone is just trying to sound inteesting by overthinking physics.

4:30 am, i just got home from a little ride around downtown toronto, its cold but no traffic!!!

Lol what course is that question from? You're lucky af if that's an assignment question

Any U of T students studying late at night here?

so you think we should let 15 year olds drive?

Not really. I thought it would make it easier for old people to remember. Rapidly fluctuating testosterone levels and driving don't seem like a good mix. Since letting young ladies drive and not young gentlemen would be sexist...

Isn't it 14 in the praries already anyway?

Since all our current understanding of physics is based upon time never stopping and being infinite - Yes, in about a second or so.

If the student was being attacked for sleeping in class, then he could dream days and days of stuff in that second, since the mind has the capacity to make linkages and create back stories extremely quickly. It's also been said that the student could see his entire life flash before his eyes in that short period of time.

Maybe he is a hairdresser - did you think of that?

but a hairdresser wouldn't do his own hair!

I always pick the one with the worst hair-do.

At the very least they aren't the worst hairdresser in the place.
