Mountain warfare usually covers "Arctic" Ops. They come up here and do their advanced winter warfare or as we like to call it, just another week in the field. Our AWW is done in the actual Arctic, and it sucks balls.
 
Last Thursday, two women who were were delivering newspapers in the early morning hours were shot by Los Angeles police in Torrance, California. Margie Carranza, 47, received a bullet wound to the hand and her mother, Emma Hernandez, 71, was shot twice in her back. Both women are expected to recover.

How do a 71yr old woman survive being hit with 2 bullets?? lolz

In the case with the two women, neighbors say at least seven officers shot at the vehicle, leaving bullet holes in neighboring cars, trees, garage doors and roofs.

The military announced they aren't sure if he has passes that may be still valid that would allow him access to military bases. He had access to other enlisted reservist records and may have multiple passes in other names.

That's a comforting level of security.
I'm barefoot and beltless to get on an aircraft and cant take more than 2oz of hair gel through TSA gates and a nutter is running around Point Loma Naval Base where the nuclear subs are parked.

Didn't know that. I should ask my brother as he was on a MEU out of Cali after serving with F.A.S.T. company. He has been out for a few years now. He ran some of the advanced CQB and MCIWS programs. Wonder if he ever ran into the guy.

He has injured 2 officers so far. It seems like the dude dont miss.
I guess he really earned those medals.

Those officers are at a disadvantage, some have probably never been in a firefight

One of the officers was killed in the shoot out, must be a pretty good shot. However there is no way out of this one, just a matter of time before he is gunned down. Man, scary situation, wonder what the guy is thinking this very second.
