Kitchener/Waterloo area, c u next trackday riders thread!

Nice, that track looks really fun. I want to try it. I wish GB would put the track layout on their website so we know which one it will be before we sign up.
 
Are you guys just using gopro's?

You going to start racing already? That's a RACE weekend. :) I'm aiming for Grand Bend on Saturday the 14th.

Oops my bad I didn't know. I thought it was just a lapping weekend. Im in for the 14th at grand bend just trying to maximize my track time this year. I'm on vacation that Friday so I got a little excited lol.
 
Just checked again it says track day long for smp on the Friday ... Does that me I ( we) can go too ?? Or is that something u need license for ?
 
if its on a R.A.C.E. weekend you'll probably need a license. You can ask SMP, but its race practise, so prepare for close passes if they let you run

Well welcome back randy, hope the trip was well. In that case no way , I'm not good enough to be on the track with those guys .... Yet ;)
 
at the vegas airport right now, be home soon, can't wait to get back on the track.
 
July 14 at gb isn't ideal for me .. Was kinda debating doing the evening lapping on the 14 then doing the 15 th all day .. Maybe stay up there for the night Saturday. So if that's the case I could take someone's bike up with me Saturday then me and the wife will stay the night but Sunday is need a ride home with whoever I towed up the night before. Just a thought. Wife and kid won't wanna stay all day on Sunday.

Lol I guess I'm seeing things ... Maybe wishing for the 15 th lol. I work till 130 on Friday night do I may just leave from work and try to crash there for a few hours.

On another note I'm gonna need tires. Here's what I've come up with.

Bridgestone bt016
Diablo Rosso 2
Conti sport attack
Dunlop q2
Metzler sportec m5
Maybe ... Diablo rosso corsas

Anyone recommend any of those ? I've ridden the q2 they're pretty good. I would love the supercorsas but even with scrubs for the front I'm way over budget. The rosso corsas would be the same price as the supercorsas with scrubs so i know which way I'll go on that lol.

I have leaned that Cayuga is open this Sunday so I'm kinda rushing. I may even use a q2 in the rear and a supercorsa in the front ( maybe lol ) as my sv has the q2 on it.....

Bit of rain in the morning, 1 session had a bit of very light rain (a heavier spitting) near the end of green, next session had full light rain, break for lunch, track lightly wet next session and only small puddles afterwards.

Great fun all in all....

Poor Dave and Randy... switching over to rain and more rain appropriate tires, only to switch them back again....
