You are both will be on the track 1 group of cars 2 groups of bikes.

From the GTAM trackday thread.

Actually what we were looking to do was try something new run 3 groups - 1 being cars, 2 being bikes . But currently we only have 5 cars and 2 bikes registered so at this point the day isn't worth doing for either group. I have heard the concerns about a car leaking oil, etc on the track, but we have more than enough equipment to rectify the problem - oil dry, sweeper tractor, vacumn truck, blower, etc.
Since we are still somewhat new at this, tell me why you think it would or wouldn't work and why. Tks

Anyone interested in the GTAM track day? I am in need of a day soon and thinking I may just do the 9th.

Ok, now I'm totally overwhelmed ! Thanks for all the advice. I'm not worried about the riding part as I won't push it too hard for the next few times on the track but the rest of the stuff I don't think I can do by Sunday... I have only loaded dirt bikes before and didn't even think about it but now I'm sure I can't load the GSXR by myself... too heavy and I only have ratchet ties for the dirt bike. Will need the thingy for the sport bike. Can I get that at Royal? Trailer is made for bikes. Has wheel chocks and lots of places to tie to and not too high off the ground. Also I can't even get my suit on or off by myself. I feel totally useless right now... I will try to pull it together for Sunday but no promises. I might not make it :(

I'm out if that is the case

*edit, took to long to reply*
lol

Lol it's not that big of a deal. Well get u set up and ready so don't worry about that. As I recall we have a standing challenge so I will take a no show on Sunday as a forfeit :) haha bike stuff will take an hour and there's lots of ratchet straps to go around .. If not they're pretty cheap at crappy tire ... You can strap on to your bars no prob .. Canyon dancers when u have time .. Not gonna wreck ur grips for a while. Worst case well do it Sunday morning at the track... Just bring some distiller water and a bucket lol I'm sure someone will help u load ur bike.. Just ask lol I bet ten guys come running ;)

We all have to do the funky chicken dance into a one piece... don't worry about it.

And, as Dan said, you'll have tons of help as necessary.

Hey GSXRGirl, I've got a canyon dancer you can borrow. I've seen straps pull grips right off so you really don't want to do that.

Tim are you getting soft in your old age? I thought you'd be all over helping her out of her suit!

Just saying

Soft like a marshmellow baby!
I know what she's talking about with needing help to get the suit off (have trouble getting my shoulders out of my suit too).

Hey Jer -- I bought a used suit that's out for some repairs right now - if it works well for me, you can try on my Cortech Latigo 1 piece suit if you're interested... it may fit you.
And somehow, I'm not surprised you're the perv of the bunch... :agave:

So that's my rep now? Lol of all the things I've could've been called.

On a serious note. A onesie is hard for me to get out of as well. The one I tried on at zdeno was a bit snug. Snug enough at one point I was worried I could get the change room door unlocked to get help to get it off. (bc arms were stuck half in lmao

Well I'm out for smp work won't let me have it off. I'd like another day before July so let me know if anyone is going to any.

you don't want to do a coolant flush at the track, it can be messy, and time consuming. You'll need to get the motor warm enough so the thermostat opens (manual will say what temp), which takes time, things are hot, you have to go slow, so you do not get burned with coolant. It takes quite a few cycles to get all of the coolant out. its a simple process. pm me your location, might be able to give you a hand saturday, depending on how far you are from me. I'm up in waterloo

getting coolant out of your resevoir can be tricky (its a pain on the CBR), if you need a siphon pump, I've got one.

one other suggestion, if you buy straps and your using an open trailer, consider getting the 6' retractable ones from princess auto, that way you don't have to waste time trying to tie up the strap ends, which flail in the wind, get freyed and cause all kinds of interesting damage on bikes.

GSXR Girl, the Canyon Dancer is in my car. If you want to borrow it, let me know, we can meet somewhere for delivery. :)

Kohlarbonez, the foot pegs are in my car, ready for Friday pickup. :)

Magneto Rotor is out! Let the rejoicing commence!
Dave - will pick up pegs between 12:30 and 12:45. Have a buyer for my tire, so I'm meeting him at 401/6 at 1:30.

Sweet Tim .. And they just announced bikes only on Sunday ... Does it get any better than this. Paging Dave and jawad, the track is looking for you :) and they're offering a discounted per register until Friday ...

I really can't... getting fence materials on Friday and even without that I've already got a busy weekend. Once all this crap is done I'll get back to the proper summer fun :)

What was the problem with the rotor? So is the new engine all buttoned up?

Just give me a call when you get here, as per usual. :) What tire are you selling, that one the engine was sitting on? LOL
