Kitchener/Waterloo area, c u next trackday riders thread!

Ok gonna need some help with this one. Mission ... Track bike for me  budget is around 2500 and I'd like at least a 600 preferably gsxr. Or of course a sv1000 is ideal lol. I'm
Leaning towards you Dave for your expertise in this one  before may 21 would be great lol

Here's somethign to look at... not sure if it's FI or carb though.

A little more than you wanted to spend, but I'm sure you could offer $2700 and haggle.

Not gonna lie. Liking the looks of the R1!!!!

Sent from my iPhone. (not while I was riding)

This looks like a great deal to me.

Copy cat... that's the same bike in my first link!!!

Love the one line in the ad though... Lady Driven.. wonder if that's why it has a salvage/irrepairable title... :lmao:

Come to think of it..
Hey Dan.. I recall a certain someone who's looking to dump his Ducati 1198, with upgraded S parts...
Think it was pearl white with a fresh paint job...
He's looking it dump it for cheap. I'm sure $6K would take it for you... ;)
Be sure to tell him I sent you...

That would make a nice down payment LOL or you could get 2 Harley 1125's and a nice lunch ;)

You noobs drooling over R1's... you don't want an R1 as your first track bike. Second one maybe, right Randy? haha...

Apparently those 1st gen R6's are awesome track bikes. Forgiving and really easy to be confident on.

Ya I've looked at the r6 ad a few times. Just worries me with the age and km ( or am I crazy ? Lol) yes Dave I like to drool over bikes I know are not for me. A r1 would be awesome but I think it's way too much power for me on the track ( or street ?) as I had a hell of a time with the sv at the track. I'll keep looking but I'll keep my eye on the r6

My SV is a 98 and still works great as a track bike, I would jump at that R6 if I didnt already have the SV. Or you can buy my SV for 2500 and I will get the R6 :).

My 1999 CBR600F4 had 85000km on it, lots of track and aggressive street riding kms. It ran great, never a single problem with it.

Meh sv650 is a little slow in the straights ..... Lol the only place I can gain any ground on you " red riders " lmao

I hear those 1k CBR's are prone to corner stuffing, they have a nasty habit of getting friendly with SV's :agave:

and besides, who else rode their track bike to work this morning? 35,000 km so far no problems other than running out of track a couple times.

3500 max, but I wouldn't do 4k, the road to trick parts to follow is a slippery and expensive slope
