mosport is a bit closer, shannonville is about 2 hours depending which side of the GTA you live.

I flushed my coolant and I'm running engine ice , which is made for the track. I guess I should call and double check, a few people said it would be ok but I guess it doesn't hurt to find out for sure.

That's kind of annoying, but kind of good I guess. Probably worse for less experienced track riders, but still, if you've never ridden that track before you'll just be figuring it out by noon. Oh well. Still fun. I wonder how many racers are actually signed up. The other thread about the freebie test day is kind of dead.

purple ice from royal purple (partsource) or water wetter. Oh well ya learn, and make sure you use de-ionized water, $2/4L from CT
 
Hey smergy where'd u get ur back protector ?? Royal doesn't have any like that.

Hey.. I've got an extra Nexo brand non-hard shell one if you want it for $25. Never used, still in packaging.
Be good for some track days, but not SMP.
 
Thanks Tim but I already have a soft back protector .. I figure if I'm gonna buy one it should work for all tracks ?
 
Machine Dean got a Chinese Dainese clone (or was it really a Dainese??) for something like $40 shipped.
 
i bought it from motorcyclesuperstore.com or whatever their website is and got it shipped, but i'd doubt they would have it in time for next weekend. Got a bit f$d at the border w/ taxes, shipping, brokerage, I think they sent UPS or FEDEX instread of USPS

what day are you riding? saturday or sunday? If its saturday I might be able to help you out and lend you one, but if its sunday, I cannot

Or, you could go to Apex - I know they've got some in stock, but they're something like $180 or so.

Has anyone checked Royal? I know they usually don't have very much race level stuff, but maybe worth a shot.
