He's not broke, far from it, the $53 million in debt thing is from a business venture he secured loans against, hist net worth is still pretty up there.
West's estimated net worth for 2015 is at $180 million.

I'd venture to bet it's nowhere near that, actually, and I'd also bet a good portion of his "wealth" is either being frittered away paying for his lifestyle, or is *part* of the lifestyle in depreciating assets, real estate aside.

I remember a certain rapper from the 80's with a thing for baggy parachute pants who took this same route. He's not living quite the same lifestyle anymore.
