I can feel his narcissism leaking into his music... So no.
Sometimes I wonder if he looks into the mirror & masturbate
Doesn't everyone?

Oops, sorry I've been misspelling and mispronouncing his? name since I started this thread. I thought that it was pronounced Cain, but with a 'k', a 'y' and an 'e' on the end. O.k. So he's not a male version of Paris Hilton?
Con yay haaaahhh.It's pronounced
con yaa
or can ya
or kon yeah
He obviously has some personality quirks and likely mental issues. His music should be judged separately, once you remove the personal drama, the music is amazing.
Like I posted, totally agree with College Dropout, but his recent stuff? Naw. Once upon a time Beastie Boys went in a new direction, with one of my favourite albums, Paul's Boutique. That album alone changed the direction of rap, and inspired a generation of rappers. Many old school rappers refer to it as the most influential album on their music. Like a Sgt. Pepper of rap.Not surprised that t took a while for someone to write this, but basically; I agree.
I've been a fan of Kanye from the start - his music is brilliant, and (somehow) he exhibits genuine emotion and expression of relatable concepts through his music, especially his earlier works.
Rap is (supposed to) be about what you hear/see/feel, which is why rappers aren't afrad of any topic - and since dude doesn't live life like the majority of us anymore, his music is pretty far out of left-field these days. That being said, he's still pushing the limits of rap. If you want insight as to how he got famous to begin with, listen to College Dropout.

Although Kanye is trying to produce the same type of influential album, I don’t think he will succeed. I personally think Jigga would have kicked him to the curb, if he wasn't bringing in so much $$$.

That may be true, as it's not my main genre right now, so I'm not as knowledgeable. But if it means that we're getting more Meek Mill and Kendrick Lamar, well I personally am not impressed. Really though, I would have loved if after Dropout Kanye went back to making beats for others. It's weird though, and my view of him may be biased, but although I can separate the music from the man in most cases, I just can't do that with Kanye. Haaaaah! His style and level of production has already changed hip hop.

If you have a chance, try to catch a concert. Saw him in '08 at the Molson Amphitheatre (Glow In The Dark Tour) and was blown away. Wasn't a huge fan before that, but was after.
The dude went hard, mostly nonstop, for the full set. Just him, no backup dancers. Put Rihanna that performed before him completely to shame.
@FullMotoJacket curiosity got the best of me, YouTubed it and now I will have to rip my eardrums out. I am very upset with you right now. Upside: I won't have to worry about helmet wind noise ruining my hearing.

Isn't he the guy that is married to that plus sized porno actress that made that one cheesy sex tape?
