A rare gold iPhone 5S just sold on eBay for $10,100 after 51 bids. The sale reflects a kind of insanity that has set in among some Apple fans over the gold version of the 5S, which instantly sold out when it launched on Friday after very few were made available for sale.

I kept resisting updates too for a while from 5 to 6 and while i could also be completely paranoid, i started seeing more glitches and one time, my phone froze and when i restarted it (not to factory setting, just a regular turning on and off), i had lost all my contacts. As in the numbers were all there but not names. So i have about 1100 numbers with no names. i updated and it was fixed. I woudnt put it passed them to do crap like that on purpose

I love that people are called sheeples and other such stupid **** for liking apple yet the android guys who do it are cool. All hail android. It's the greatest os ever and everyone should have a phone with it. You apple people are idiots :agave:

The loss of the YouTube app in the change from 5 to 6 was no big deal to me for 2 reasons. The YouTube webpage could play HQ while the app couldn't. The current app can also play video as well as search with a filter for closed captioned videos (though this needs to be set for every search) when neither the old app or webpage could do that before.
The maps app was more controversial but I also don't care. The Apple maps app was faster due to vector graphics versus the bitmaps in Google maps app. Nicer colours to a certain extent. One nice feature it has is turn by turn directions like a tom tom. The google app didn't until now. Even though Google's app now has that, vectors and better labelling for some things as well as street view, I only use it as a last resort. The reason is because the zoom levels are all weird to me and the colours look weird and it generally looks spindly. The first Google maps app was actually Apple's own not Google as it is now.
In general I don't like Google's design language and don't use their apps unless I have to.

You didn't answer my question. One guy who paid too much (or didn't pay at all, wouldn't be surprised if someone's account got hacked) for an in demand product means nothing as to the rest of the consumers. Android fanboys are no better than Apple fanboys, every product has their own batch of loyal idiots.

I have played, bought and returned, and messed around with all sorts of android devices. They're great. Great screens, good features, and overall good phones. I'm not arguing which is better in functionality, features, etc....all I'm saying is I like my iOS. I'm too cheap to go buy the latest and greatest each iteration, but when my contract comes up next year I will once again see what's out there.
I just dont don't understand this apple is bs by android fan boys and vice versa....it's a device for people with disposable income....enjoy your money as you see fit. Each has its benefits but when people are used to one os they will stick with it.
and frankly good for apple if they can sell a device for XXX% profit as per the linked article. Samsung, HTC, Nokia and every other manufacturer would do the exact same thing if they could get away with it.
LMAO! ALL APPLE products are made from Samsung. All Samsung needs to do is the pull the plug on APPLE and they are done. Why does Samsung continue to produce for APPLE? Well looks at the sale, when APPLE sells alot, Samsung wallets grow bigger. It's in Samsung interest that APPLE continue to sell.

I see you're not still done ranting like a teenager. Apples ****** phone uses a chip from Samsung. It's not a galaxy rebranded as an iPhone like you make it sound. There is more than just apple who makes said chip so no they don't hold the power of shutting down apple. I'm sure there are mutual benefits of that deal that go beyond your "android rules!" theory. So where will your ensuing rant take us today? Apple sucks because my work buddies have android? Apple sucks because I've never had one for any length of time and say so? Now this I agree with! If Apple and Android REALLY hated each other they would pull the plug on their relationship after all those patent lawsuits were flying back and forth. Then they realized...hey...we can all make money! Yay! There are Apple sheep, Android sheep, BMW sheep, MB sheep, take any brand in the world and there are sheep for it.

Well said. Sheep for everything no matter what you're into. The only thing I disagree with are the people who insist that because they like product a, that product b sucks or is total crap. I'm still waiting to hear what it is android does so much better than apple to support blue_kawi's rants that apple is total ****.
So since you were on about numbers blue_kawi, information such as this statement is readily available to find anywhere. Making the decision between an iPhone and an Android phone is a matter of preference. Both sell a ton, both can do a ton of similar things so what is it we're all missing that makes apple suck? I now have both and while I find them different I fail to see what it is that makes android so much better. Please educate me as I'm a simple apple sheep :dontknow:
edit: and please don't use the "my work is 98 percent android" argument because mine is 98 percent apple so that's useless info. I want to know what it is that android does that apple doesn't which makes it miles ahead. Facts please not opinions.
