iPhone 5S !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're arguing with someone who (in all seriousness) posts tinfoil hat videos about the coming apocalypse, and to hoard various metals (you can't eat or trade for food). Take his posts for what they are. Comedy.

Investing in metals like silver is not such a bad idea, IMO.

posted with my ipad2, and my iPhone 4S in my pocket.

Android rules, end of story

Android is on 80 percent of the worlds smart phones.

They are fixing a lot of things and taking over.

Once upon a time, RIM thought they were untouchable. Fearless prediction : Apple will suffer the same fate if they keep the same course they are currently running.

Android really is taking over the world.

This is likely true and then Android will become king, that is until they fail to innovate and fall prey to the next newest flavour of the month, just like Nokia, Motorola,Rim and Apple before.

To Cook, the mobile industry doesn’t race to the bottom, it splits. One part does indeed go cheap, with commoditized products that compete on little more than price. “There’s always a large junk part of the market,” he says. “We’re not in the junk business.” The upper end of the industry justifies its higher prices with greater value. “There’s a segment of the market that really wants a product that does a lot for them, and I want to compete like crazy for those customers,” he says. “I’m not going to lose sleep over that other market, because it’s just not who we are. Fortunately, both of these markets are so big, and there’s so many people that care and want a great experience from their phone or their tablet, that Apple can have a really good business.”

And most of those phones are on 2.3 or prior. 2.3 is still being supplied on many devices. Obsolete last year. They will have to be replaced to have a software upgrade. At least with apple you get upgrades every year. It's like I've had 3 free phones.

What happened to NFC? A year ago, the android folk were butthurt that the iPhone didn't have it. A year later, no one gives a damn.

Got to love it. Android versus iOS. I remember Atari 2600 vs. Intellivision, NES verus Master System, SNES Vs. Genesis, PS1 vs. Saturn etc.

Why do I presently prefer Android devices?

I like a larger screen (middle age has hit and the need for reading glasses). A Phablet might be the perfect next phone for me as I could read some of my digital subscriptions on it in addition to using it for texting, calling, email, and gaming.

I like to expand my capacity at will. Nowadays 32 Gig is a minimum to me. We got a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and adding an additional 32 Gig to the device was an easy, quick, and inexpensive addition. To get a 64Gig iPad would have been a lot more money than my (now) 64 Gig Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.

A user replaceable battery is a way to extend the life of the device (if the battery memory goes to crap) or extend how long you can use your device in a day by bringing an extra battery or two. My original Samsung Galaxy S has a crappy battery life so I always just bring an extra battery or two. I bought two extra batteries and an external battery for not much over $10 on ebay. Instead of having to pitch the phone this "workaround" has extended the useful life of my phone. Adding in a 32 Gig micro SD card also extended the life of the phone.

If Apple made an iPhone with something close to a 6" screen, with mico SD slot, and a user replaceable battery they would have me. While I do play around with android a bit I could care less frankly about getting into the guts of the OS. iPhone would work fine with me and they are nicely made devices. The lack of expandability, screen size, and user replaceable batteries will see me continue to buy Android devices. If Apple ever changes this design philosophy then I would happily buy their products again (I had macs back in the 1980s).

Reminds me of the story of Ducati =)

More and more android devices are being shipped with nonchangable batteries. I found when I had a phone with interchangeable batteries I didn't often need the spares and by the time I did they were dead. Easier just to keep a battery booster.

I suggest listening to Reggie Middleton. He predicts APPLE will go where RIMM is going right now. He predicted that years ago.

Sir Isaac Newton predicted the world will end in 2060. I see what someone meant now. Your posts are comedy :lmao:

vertigo from a mobile phone :lmao: That guy should have stuck to his android and his mothers basement for safety

I don't understand :/ Of course apple will get to where rimm is now, it's inevitable, but unless you attach a concrete timeframe to your prediction it's useless. Personally I think aapl has another few years of coasting before they get flushed, but who knows.

Apparently, Apple still does, they just introduced their own proprietary solution.

iNFC just didn't sound right, so they coined it.... iBeacons.

Good old Apple, late to the party once again.

Can't wait til they come up with their next brilliant idea..... a bigger screened iphone.

I told you guys exactly a year ago, with my quoted post below, from the Why Android is better than iPhone thread...
That BT 4 is it, i guess now is the time.

Apple is a smart company.....when they talk, i tend to listen.

I think you guys got scared when Apple chose to not put this NFC thing in their device, because it will not take off without the Leader in the game.

How come no one is using wifi-direct yet.....waiting on Apple???

Apple is using Bluetooth 4.0.....because it uses a fraction of battery power.

NFC people should grab a read below;
