Will you still wave?

Always have, always will.

Drove me crazy this weekend in the group ride I participated in.I didn`t mind when they were at the end .But when they moved into the center after a break .They slowed the group down .

This isn't my video, but someone on RFD posted it:

I arranged a wknd for my dad and I on a pair of Spyders.

He loved it. I was bored.
He liked that it was easy to ride, and took no concentration, and little physical effort, so he could concentrate on scenery.
I found it very un-involving, and something was really missing from the ride without any lean angle.
After that, I told myself that if I ever became unable to ride, I would just get a bad *** convertible instead of a 3 wheeled snowmobile thingy like that. Something like a Cobra kit car would perform just about as well as any sportbike, and would slaughter a Can Am in every way.
However my dad dreams about the day he can buy a Spyder.....sigh.

A dear and precious friend of mine hasn't been able to walk since his childhood due to circumstances beyond his control. He rides a red Can Am and has it fitted to carry his wheelchair. He gets himself on and off that thing without any help, he loads and unloads his chair, even though he can't even stand. He inspires wheelchair bound people every day with his bravery. When we are out on group rides, he rides tail gun. We are thankful he's there, because he does take up most of the lane. He keeps the cagers back and away from us. He's an amazing man and he rides one of those "two wheel up front trikes" as they were called. He's a biker and we are proud of him. Love you my Brother!

You brought a tear to my eye .

Still no wave .

I know the there are many sad stories .A lot of them have great people behind them.If he rode a real trike one front wheel he gets a wave .

Call me a hater or discriminator .At least I say it as it is .

Over my life time I have learned .That you don`t have to love everyone .Social engineering is for losers .That`s why our society is broken.

You ride one of these things .You are not a biker .

A trike with 1 front wheel would be a Harley, which would be very exhausting for the rider to go around saving lives everywhere they go.

I wave to everyone... One, two, three wheels. Cagers, kids, anyone who gets a kick out of seeing my bike roll by. My cruiser makes me smile, I love to share that with others.

This is an example of why I'm excited to be a part of the riding community. Rad attitude.

More just someone with really weird and arbitrary self-imposed restrictions. Like somehow two wheels up front is different from two wheels in back to the point where it determines whether or not you say hi to someone?

That's more bizarre than mean.

****in' right I would, even if he was riding a moped. Hell, I'd probably be more likely to wave if I saw a dude like that on a moped. While laughing my *** off.

I decide whether to wave after I flip two coins, roll four 12-side dices, plot out coordinates of the stars (if I'm riding at night), and take the average sum of these numbers and throw a +10 modifier on it. If the resulting number is greater than 3.04, then I wave.

Really, I just wave at everyone that waves at me. I'm much happier as a result.

The difference between 1 front wheel/2 back wheels and 2 front wheels/1 back wheel, reminds me of an original Star Trek episode where Capt. Kirk had to deal the bigotry between 2 races of peoples, one race was white skinned on the right side and black on the left, the other race was the opposite. Both felt the other was obviously and irrefutably inferior.

I wave to everyone... mainly cuz it's nice. Kids wave to me all the time, and the occasional old man, and I always wave back to them even if they're walking.

Sometimes when I drive, if I drive past a bike I'll still do the "biker wave" out of habit and they'll wave back because they're nice people.

I find that the most elitist are cruiser guys, but maybe they're older guys that don't know about the wave... I don't know. The 1st time I went to the forks, I was riding my SV and my buddy was riding a Katana... on the way to Erin we passed a convoy of cruisers going in the opposite direction... it had to have been like 30 bikes being ridden by middle aged guys looking like Mr. Slave from South Park.

My friend and I both wave since we like bikes of all kinds but NONE of the bikers returned our little salute... Ironically, the pickup truck driver following them waved. I got the feeling the guys on the cruisers looked down on us cuz we were riding sport bikes since they stared us down but made a point of not waving.

^^ I live in that area. That crap happens here all the time. I'm not a fat guy on a hog either.

Wow! You remind me of the person who wrote that infamous letter to the mother of the autistic boy. And you believe "social engineering" is why our society is broken? Hmmm...

You hit it right on the head .It`s a snowmobile on wheels .

Ya of course .Because I won`t wave to snowmobiles on wheels .I`m really bad .That`s why I raised money through a ride and sponsors for the special Olympics this past weekend .

If you raised money, could it be to appease your conscience? (rhetorical). Bottom line is wave; don't wave. That's your choice. But don't judge their choice for choosing what they ride. Re-read your own signature. Two-wheels; three-wheels. What a ride! :)

Wow, you have a crappy attitude. I wave to everyone, who waves at me. Car, Trucks, Bikes, Trikes, Cyclists even the cops on the horses.

yea, and he tells me I'm the angry one because I said we don't really care who he waves to and who he doesn't...

I used to live in Montreal where Can-Am are FAR more common than here. Out on a week-end, I'd probably see tens of them. I wouldn't normally wave at them except if:

1. I'm in a really good mood
2. They waived first

The reason being that most of them seem not to know anything about the biker wave anyway.

Now having moved to Ontario, I just wave at everybody.
