I never liked marine land

Never been there. Even as a young child I thought that place came off as tacky. Sad to hear about the animals.

This is my signature

Nothing will change unless someone like Bob Barker starts squawking about it. American tourists going to the Falls do not read The Star and will have no idea. If anything is going to change it needs some celebrity coverage in the US. At that point Marineland will have to do something to save the business.

So these animals seem to be suffering way more than Toronto's elephants, will anyone step up?

Any form of animal captivity (which will most likely lead to cruelty) for mass amusement, deeply displeases me.

Marineland and all places like it are the same. We nearly got thrown out of a holiday resort in Mexico once as my wife left some leaflets about the swim with dolphins cruelty laying around.

Here's the funny thing...every holiday I go on we usually find a local with a boat and pay him a few dollars to take us out to see the dolphins in the wild. We did this with a few others once and one guy on our boat asked if he could swim with the wild dolphins...the boat owner said "sure, if they want to swim with you" which I thought was the most poignant thing that I've heard on this subject. Short story...he swam with wild dolphins and the whole thng was amazing. The captive thing is just sad and people who say "but look, they are smiling" are very mistaken.

Anyway, I would encourage more of you to ask to see dolphins in the wild. The more that do this and the less the captive businesses get customers then the better this will be for the animals. Most local fishermen know where the dolphins hang out and once you see them in the wild you'll never want to see them in a large tank again. Did I mention that it costs way less than the swim with captive dolphins stuff too?

Just not when we visit japan right?

Personally I love taking my kids to animal jails for profit. It's these goldfish owners who need to be stopped. Millions are flushed down the toilet daily and you're worried about a couple of dolphins?

White ppl have exotic pets like snakes & spiders
Asian ppl have goldfishes

A friend I went to school with was a trainer there. The Star paints a flattering picture of the place.

Interesting... we were just in Key West, booking some snorkling we saw ads for dolphin encounters but no swimming, asked about the difference and were told that it is illegal to swim with non-captive dolphins in FLA. If I recall corretly he told us people get changed with Dolphin Molestation. Who Knew ?

Doubt they'd spend the money to actually care for the animals they have there considering they haven't really done anything to improve the park (or even change that stupid jingle) since the mid-80's, just shut it down already.
