I'd prefer a new vaccine shot as opposed to a used one, but thanks for thinking of me...

I got my shot yesterday at UTM after signing up on April 9 through Trillium. The clinic was really well set up. Lots of free parking, and lots of signs and people to direct you. They made sure everyone was wearing a new mask and sanitized their hands before entering. I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment, and was in and out in 40 minutes (including the 15-minute wait after the shot). I got both a printed and emailed receipt for the dose, and my second dose is set for August 8. I highly recommmend UTM to anyone in Mississauga.
I think in the age group I’m available in....40+ it’s only at the pharmacies, but honestly not sure as the program opens tomorrow.

@mimico_polak age 40 and up opens tomorrow April 20 at pharmacies for the AZ vaccine across all of Ontario
My wife has reached out to her network to try to get me a shot. It looks like about a week out is the best she can get. That works. Lets just get it done.

I'm booked for April 30 through Halton...however thinking of trying to get an earlier appointment through a pharmacy...hubby doesn't qualify through Halton, but he does at the pharmacy...he's overweight and smokes a pack a day, so I'm concerned about him getting the AZ vaccine...hmmmm
Signed up at the local pharmacy. Their network is down until noon but the pharmacist put me into their system.
Alrighty....booked for Thursday!

There was long but moving line up at UTM for the Covid 19 Vaccination for Pfizer around 2pm today due to the Rogers network being down. A doctor did come outside and address the situation and a new/different routers were being installed. The doctor also mentioned they never had a line up before ( good news for future vaccinators). In and out about an hour, normal would be around 20mins.
The line was much much shorter when exiting. All the medical staff at UTM did a wonderful job. Thank you, thank you!

My wife told them she was allergic to spider bites and they made her stay a half hour after the shot instead of 15 minutes. All good.
Waiting to see if she got any cool Spidey powers?
How did you book? I was looking today and couldn’t find it. I assumed they weren’t allowing bookings until tomorrow?

I am on a waiting list at a pharmacy. Should get an appt in a week. That pharmacy had an "I am eligible" check box. When I looked at sobeys yesterday, they had you pick which category made you eligible (eg 55 plus). Apparently once the leak was widespread appointments filled very quickly for the next week or more. I suspect people were just picking 55 plus and will update when they arrive.
