Like everything else, the frontline people take the brunt of stupid policies. They'd probably be happier putting it in arms instead of throwing it out too, but that could cost them their jobs.

Lots of people - and some governments - are incapable of risk management.
edit: Denmark's 7-day average for covid19 deaths is 2. Population 5.8 million. The risk associated with covid19 is currently quite a bit lower there than it is here. This tips the balance towards the risk of this vaccine not being outweighed.

While I understand your point, and risk management the risk is still there.
And frankly if there’s a chance of me dying or accepting the risk of waiting for the next batch of another vaccine....tough call.
Try Shoppers. They seem to have it together(ish). Signed up online on the 3rd (a Saturday), didn’t hear back so called the Shoppers pharmacy I’d booked with on the 9th. They booked me in for yesterday.
Rexall got back to my MIL within about 3 days to book her appt. total time from initial signup to jab was less than a week.
The Rexal I booked with on the 1st or 2nd sent me a text yesterday to call to book an appointment. They’re on it, just slower.

Depends where. Shoppers, just sent me an email that the demand is greater than the supply and to be patient. Queued up with them Apr. 1st.
It happened in Texas. A doctor had one shot left and no arm for it. Called a friend who lived nearby and gave him the jab. The doctor got fired.
I was stabbed with Moderna today at Oakville, well oiled machine, but 35 people to screen, rescreen, herd the folks, usher you out the door after a third screening. Glad to be done but this must be costing a fortune.

yep. wife applied to help do shots, not even a call back. she was a little insulted lol.

@crankcall which site did you use to book your appointment? I'm eligible to book as of this Friday (planning on staying up until midnight Thursday to do so) and want to make sure I have the correct one for Halton...thanks!
Pharmacy students are upset, because the medicine and nursing students are getting paid more to give the same shots.
I went through Halton Healthcare website / book a covid vaccine apt.
they should get used to it, it will be forever thus for the rest of their careers LOL
Took exactly 10 days for me to get the 2nd message after the initial sign-up one.
Glad to say my dad got his shot yesterday and so far is feeling fine. 30min in and out. Pfizer.
