I'll agree with people who say that they 'don't have time' to go to the gym, go out to the park, or do any type of exercising. I was one of those. But then I took a look at my life, and at myself and found that I'm burning way too much time doing ******** things (tv for instance, busy work, etc.) that don't matter. Once I did that, and I saw my waist line expanding slowly (damn you slowed down metabolism) I made the decision to hit the gym. I hate going to the gym, but I love being at the gym and working out, and I try to be regular with my workouts so every other day works. I feel better, have more energy, and now need to focus more on cardio because I know that needs some work. But it was just an excuse. The feeling I get after a good workout is awesome and I look forward to it each time, but getting to the gym is the hardest part.
As for other excuses, we all make them. My good friend is always bitching about money, lack of time, etc etc....yet for a family with a 100k combined income, 2 kids in school (no more daycare costs), an investment property and always having enough for a trip to Europe and Cuba each year...well they just like complaining....it's their nature, and the more they complain the more they end up having...but it's easier to complain then make changes in your life.
As for me....my only excuse that I keep making is that I want to branch out on my own and do my own thing, but I haven't found my niche yet...or what I enjoy enough to branch out into on my own...but that's a whole different story.
STB was able to take the family business to the next level and that's great. It's afforded him a great lifestyle from what I read (unless it's all bs) and I always applaud people that are able to take themselves, and their lives to the next level. But it's not easy, and there's no easy way to riches, unless of course you win the lotto...
