Wish you had posted this earlier.
I wanted to know if you're really a prick in real life or just have a knack for pushing people's buttons.

Show up I will be there. Leaving now.
Maybe some other time soon Sonny. Maybe you can bring your lambo because dick jokes & giving each other wedgies can get old real quick

There isnt a difference really...I overcame being sent to boarding school at 7 years old does that count :)

It's ok that wasn't really directed at you. An example for a guy of my caste and generation is all the guys who went from high school to good paying union grunt jobs at city, railroad and factories etc. After 3 months proby, signed on for life, the good life, steady paycheck, cars, toys yadda. Meanwhile the second tier kids struggle at lumber yards, car washes, Canadian Tire parts counter and on and on. Of that second tier some guys really pulled their #H1t together. But that's a different world.

I wear a 32" Jean, same size as at 16. I have a very physical job, I'm 42 and the next oldest guy doing the same job as me is 24. It keeps me fit and I take pride in it. In the summer I ride bicycles, swim, hike all with my kids and my wife. For me fitness is a lifestyle.
On the other side of the coin, at 42 years old with numerous injuries, including breaking my spine twice. I find if I'm off work or inactive for 3-4 days, I stiffen up something fierce.

Yes Richboy, some people have to work hard to put their kids through school or even to pay their mortgage. Not everybody have the luxury to do physical exercise 7 days a week & eat the best supplements.

There isn't much I hate more than people who whine about not having time for physical activity. The kids, the mortgage, the job.... those are all choices. If YOU choose to have kids and YOU choose to live in an area that means you need to work 60 hours a week just to pay for it then you "don't have time" to exercise then I'd say you made some pretty stupid choices.

You certainly have enough free time to come on GTAM....

I have made some if those choices. If I choose to spend time raising my kids rather than exercise, I would do that over and over, as I put them first, before everything, including me and my health. That being said, being healthy and being around (alive) for them would be nice too. (duh?!) I personally never say I don't have the time, problem is, when I have the time, I'd rather be relaxing. But I still think that has to do with getting over that hurdle of inactivity >> activity, then you have more energy and therefore want to be more active. As well, it's a $h!tty example that I'm setting for the kids.

But yeah, to sum it up, it's about choices. I could choose to nap a half hour after work before picking up the kids, or I could go for a walk. Thankfully, the choice to walk has been winning, lately.

Good point aha...and yuck

You think that's yuck? They're only that old because I usually don't wear any. How's that image burning into your mind? LOL ?

Don't choose spending time with your kids over exercising! Instead try spending time with your kids at the park, playing catch, fly a kite, etc. or go for a hike, go to the beach.
There's a million things you can do with them that benefits all of you. Kids these days need to get out of the house anyway. (And so do some parents)
My kids love going for bike rides (pedal-type), we spend hours on trails and paths. When we are on the boat at anchor, the kids and I are in the water for hours.
Doing all these things and having fun with the kids creates great memories, promotes a healthy lifestyle for them in the future, and promotes a healthy lifestyle for mom and dad now.
Plus it's fun. :)

And another thing..........

I recall watching a doc. about the benefits of very short but intense exercise in relation to diabetes. The subject was pre diabetic. They put him on a program (at a British university) where he did something like a 180 seconds exercise per week in 20 second bursts. Stationary bike. Full out for 20 seconds to feel the burn x3. 3x per week. Of course they tracked him with blood work and what ever else. It was a major success. Some kind of a reaction that can only be gotten from burning the muscle. I do that now when I ride my bicycle. In a low gear, on flat surface, I'll spin like a fool until I feel a real burn.

Read about something similar where the subject was diabetic and reversed it by said exercise.
