How do I get a motorcycle up a 5 steps

Thanks for all the help, everyone. I ordered a ramp (the one linked in this thread) Will see how it goes from there

Have you looked at one of those track stands with castors to get it through the front? They let you turn the bike around the front wheel, but do add a bit of length which may be problematic.

You wouldn't even need that. It's a 400 lb bike. Just grab the rear wheel and deadlift 200 lbs a couple of inches of the ground, then pivot the motorcycle on it's front wheel till it's facing the right direction. Done that so many times in the garage.

Just make sure you put something underneath the sidestand. That wood looks pretty soft, you'll probably leave a divot.

BTW not sure if has been mentioned, but you can find guys on Kijij to help with small projects like this. I found a guy to help me move a washing machine 3k from 1 house to another. Had a van and helped me moved it inside and take the old one to the curb. $60, where as a moving company would have minimum cost of $400.

Actually I got a dm from someone here who offered to help out :) . Going to try the ramp method first and hope I can get it done myself

Just put it up on stands, stick the bike in reverse and run it till the odometer matches the original mileage.

Saw that in a movie once.

What's the worse that could happen...?
Bueller bueller?

^-- This.

One guy helping you will take literally 30 seconds to get it up 5 steps.

As others noted Princess Auto has many option for pick-ups that will do the job of the ramp.

It will still help to have two people to keep it upright, push and to keep a hand on the brakes so it does not roll back if you have to stop mid ramp. Just helps to prevent the potential for an epic fail.

+1
I would not recommend doing this even with a ramp without at least one extra set of hands even just to grab the brake while you adjust footing or have to move around the bike.

Those who have been vaccinated please help this fellow out

I miss Reciprocity. He would have picked it up and carried it up by himself.
