Are you going to have a sponsor board like RJ does lol.

His newest bike looks sweet in that colour.

Bet you have! So what's holding you back? Here are some inspirational stories of how people got started...

Or check out the VRRA Profiles in Inside Motorcycles.

Do you really want to be sitting on your rocking chair at 80 regretting that you never had the trill of being on the starting grid?

You could have...

What is the cut-off/latest period classification for a vintage bike. I.E is a 93 ZX-7 eligible?

Period 4 is the latest, officially 1989-with exceptions for like models so the 1990 Gixxer 750 & 1990 Cowie zx7, Ducati 900ss up to 1996

The beauty is that the periods do not roll forward every year, so you can keep running the same bike every year possibly forever. That saves a lot of time and money-both factors tend to push people out of Road Racing. Gotta love that era.

So for P4 90 ZX-7 is allowed?

And that's so cool looking the 1980's rulebook online on the vrra webpage.

Yes Sir! Allowed and favored by a few ;)

PM me if you're thinking of putting one together, I can probably save you some time. It's important that you have a good sense of humour though if you want to run with this group...

The only classes you'd want to run in would be formula femme and rookie. You'd have a lot of fun in the femme class though and if your pre-register its not even that expensive to run 2 classes. Remind me to make fun of him if he has to lock wire your bike. Such a pain in the *** lol.

I'd prolly do the femme class. Oh he will be the one lock wiring it. You should have heard the cursing when change out the clutch on the R6. Never heard someone swear so much. lolololol

I don't balme him, that's one of the silliest push rod set ups I've ever seen.... (scratches head).

I shoulda bought your old 90 ZX7 when I had the chance, instead of the 94 YZF600, that ended up having no 2nd gear and took me thousands of dollars to make race ready. Your ZX7 was ready as is, and I could've been racing 1.5 yrs earlier.

Could have bought mine, too.

Steves championship winner was only $1700 bucks though,LOL.....And I was looking to spend under 2 grand.....I should have. Instead I spent $1600 on the YZF and then a pile more making it ready, and wasted a yr and a half putting it together.

I've never considered racing... Track Days let me do my thing when I wanted to do it (no commitment), I got my speed and adrenaline rush even thou there was no prize at the end.
good idea there is no real money to be made in canada anyway. If you're not racing national superbikes by the age of 18 you won't get a ride. Where are the fast guys now, racing harleys lol. there is more money to be made doing track days for cash. I will get that video to you, pm me and we will set up a meeting spot.

Hmm, I never got any contingency money at a track day, just some crappy trophy. I was awesome that day!
