Has the city lost it's mind...

So 1 guy goes to pick up a girl, she rejects him (or whatever the discussion was), and he bolts like a b$@ch...with 2 of his buddies waiting outside to help jump in if needed?
She rejected his advances and he tried to steal her purse? Wtf is going on in this video, do they know eachother?

There's a description of what transpired in the video if you use the link to watch it on youtube.

"A 23-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted at a Brampton mall on Oct. 23 around 8:30 p.m.. The Brampton woman was at a shopping mall in the area of Queen St. and Central Park Dr. when she was approached by an unknown male accusing her of filming him.The woman attempted to walk away but the man allegedly approached her again, slapped her phone out of her hand and assaulted her.The victim suffered minor injuries.Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident to call police at 905-453-2121, ext. 2133, or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca."

Buddy doesn't grasp you have no right to privacy re: filming in a public place it seems. Nothing that a good beat down won't do to get the point across to him.

Hope they catch him and bring him back to the mall. Tie him up to one of the concrete pillars and allow everybody visiting the mall to line up and give him a punch in the face and a kick in the nuts.

Here's a whole car full of *&^*&^ driving around in a stolen car at 2am trying to steal other cars. Ran from police when confronted. Does anyone have hope that they will become productive members of society or is their path already set? We all did some dumb stuff but this is well beyond dumb.

"Investigators have charged three 17-year-old girls, a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl"

I believe they arrested this guy.. a 14 year old.

Dickbag teenagers in barrie walk in front of a car that had the right of way. Car driver avoids hitting them and lets the kids know how he felt about their behaviour. One kid pulls out a weapon (no description given) and threatens the driver. 14 yo arrested.

TO council is cutting $1M from the fire dept. budget, adding $180K to the mayor's office budget, and voting on spending $8.6M on renaming Dundas St. today (which will undoubtedly end up somewhere north of $12M). Shidiots.

Just leave the phucken street name alone.
No one care about the meaning behind any street name.
They are just there to differentiate one street from another.

The Dundas thing shows me how shallow Toronto council is.

Dundas was an abolishinist. Period. He was instrumental in ending slavery in Scotland, and NorthAmerica.

To blame him for delaying abolition by negotiating a gradual phase out is simply spinning good as bad. He faced enormous opposition, annd after decades of stalemate between West Indies and Abolishinists, he eventually succeeded with a graduated approach. In the eyes of critics, this gradual approach is spun as a delay tactic. Problem is abolishinists of the day had made zero progress for decades. He got it done.

To me this is wokeism and cancel culture at its greatest.

Save some money by ending this misguided crusade. Cancel the 15000 sheep that signed the fake-fact petition that got this started.

Clearly Toronto doesn't have it's priorities together. When they complain the city has no money and stuff like this is on the table.
Maybe I should write Chow and let her know how dumb this is....

Make sure to tell her that $8.6M is enough for 30,000 to 35,000 hotel rooms (give or take on the rate) for one day or ~100 hotel rooms for an entire year.... you know for the homeless.

Any estimate on cost for renaming dundas is grossly wrong. Probably an order of magnitude low. Just redesigning and replacing ttc signage will exceed their entire proposed budget. Hell, the ad campaign to show people how progressive they are will eat up most of the budget. Losers. Anyone that votes yes for this should never be paid public money again.

don't forget replacing all the business cards and signage.

Where's the petition to reverse the change? I'll sign twice.

Did the sheep own property in the city or pay city taxes? If not what right do they have to to meddle in city finances?

A town in the USA had a change challenged by a petition. When it failed the signees were billed their share of the town's litigation expenses. Do it.

I was just talking about direct public money. Businesses needing to replace all printed stationary and update all electronic references will cost hundreds of millions as well.
plus Garmin, Google maps etc

911: Do you you require police, fire or ambulance?

Victim: I'm being stabbed to death on Dundas Street

911: There's no such street.

What do you say when the insurance call centre in India asks how long you've been at your address?

On that subject, the Toronto Police Association has sent out a PR card pointing out that since 2010 the Toronto population has grown by 13% while the number of police officers has declined by 11%.

Emergency calls are up 18%

Average response time is 22 minutes

60% of the time there are no units available for emergencies.

Major crimes are uo 21% as of September

Their numbers, proably to stir the budget numbers. Everyone has their hand out.

They conveniently leave out how much their comp per employee has raced ahead. Budget is up 21%. That means comp is up about 36% per employee. When comp is grossly out of line with education/training/skills there isn't enough money in the world for sufficient staffing. Cut comp per person by 50%, add 100% more staff, budget the same, staffing solved.
