That first link is for the Hero 1
Anyways....
The GoPro3 did very well in low light conditions. Still very clear even with the shoddy lights on the hills. Chesty sucked for boarding though, I will have to go helmet-mounted next time for sure. I don't have a suction cup but I wouldn't mind getting a few vids from the board doing jumps.
It was fine for my purposes as I wasn't recording every run or anything. I do wish you could insert the USB in with the housing on so you can really take advantage of the loop recording mode
speaking of gopro's, check this out

Would any of you, or have any of you, bought a GoPro from Amazon? I see they have the gopro2 with the outdoor kit for $209.
I bought my first one from there with no issues at all. Perhaps you should check out the one I have for sale,
anyone having issues with their Hero 2/wifi bacpac combos there was a recent firmware update (sometime between boxing day and yesterday) for both the camera and the bacpac. I've been having issues with it freezing on startup with the wifi bacpac connected, and freezing in the middle of recordings as well so I'm really hoping this will fix it.
