Do you devote most of your time/interest to that? If so yes. If not, no. But yes... he should elaborate on the term "geek" as anyone with a fair amount of computer knowledge can be considered a geek. Just because you own a lot of equitments does not make you a geek nor does knowing a few things here and there.

Does your family ask you tech questions all the time... You might be a geek. If you know the home address for a router to change the settings... You might be a geek. Are you the person everyone you know goes to instead calling tech support when something goes squirrelly on their machines... You are most certainly a geek. Would you find it both humourous and useful to have a t-shirt that says "No, I will not fix your computer."... Geek!

You can purchase said shirt from http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-apparel/unisex/frustrations/388b/

LOL...This reminds me of the family guy episode:

Presenter: Binary is the computer language in which words are translated into sequences of zeroes and ones. Anything at all can be expressed in binary as we demonstrate in this famous scene from 'The Miracle Worker.'
Annie Sullivan: 01-10-10-01
Helen Keller: [Incomprehensible gibberish]
Annie Sullivan: 01-10-10-01!
Helen Keller: [Garbled repetition of binary phrase]
Annie Sullivan: 01! 01!

I can't tell what's more geeky: that you remembered and typed out that episode, or that, for a brief second, I tried to figure out what Annie Sullivan was saying.

LOL..in all fairness Google search is my bestie..

Never thought I'd see someone like 3Dgameman on this forum..

Anyway I would consider myself a geek, since I built this watercooled quad sli monster rig that's sitting beside me right now :p

Post a picture of what it looks like. a picture is worth a 1000 words.
I bought a very nice Ikea cabinet that can barely fit under my work desk (3 shelves). I assembled it. Then I took a hole-saw to it and drilled 6 holes. Then I took a generic 12VDC power supply and spliced 3 spade connectors (males on pos, females on neg, make what you want from it). Then I mounted 3 casing fans onto 3 of the holes (the other 3 are for air intake) and plugged them into the power supply. Now, if you're asking why Mr. FiReSTaRT would need such an elaborate setup.. Well, that's to keep all of my modems, routers, switches and other networking gear nice and cool. If that ain't geeky, I don't know what is
