Fak her right in Pus**: feminists need to suck the big one!

The lesson that you all need to learn is that supporting a ****** *** MLSE team is not good for your life!

The only reason people even know that the dude works for Hydro One is cause the social media lynch mob decided that they were going to crucify the guy and put in a lot of effort to find out who he is and where he works. Watch every word you say 24/7 guys, maybe you're getting the noose next.

Dude, you're in IT, you're not retarded.

I say/post incredibly stupid, offensive **** when I'm gaming and on gaming forums. I also use a different alias than the one I use for software development for that reason. I'm also under a different alias here so an employee doesn't Google me and find that I enjoy scaring the **** out of left lane hoggers by blowing past them in 2nd gear.

Common sense isn't that hard. You're telling me you'd be stupid enough to yell FHRITP in front of a TV crew? That's as stupid as me showing up to work on my GSXR, doing a burnout, and expecting not to be asked about it.

Actually I think he's just a piece of ****. I've worked with engineers with poor social skills before...they're never as stupid as he was.

So, you're not different than the guy, but you just hide it really (kinda )well?

I'm different, my comments usually involve whether a paper bag should be used or not.

Don't know if this has been brought up but...

What if the reporter was your sister, wife, or significant other?

I don't treat women like that. If someone said that to any of my close friends, mother, or sister (if I had one), they'd have a broken jaw once they're off screen.

If you're going to act like a ****ing idiot with video footage being aired...

If a relative of mine worked for main stream media I'd be ashamed to admit they were related to me. I have no sympathy what so ever for this reporter. With the MSM's biased reporting on issues, this will happen more often as people show their disrespect to the media whores.

I agree. I think she purposely dragged them (more) into it. When you watch the video, its clear she is trying to get more out of them

I totally agree. I have a feeling that when a reporter asks a member of the public a question on an issue, if the answer does not side with the stations stance on the subject that response it not going to make it to the news. I also have a feeling that when a member of the public gets a microphone in the face from these reporters with a camera guy right invading their space they are being told to F off more often. I guess these reporters feelings are getting hurt from the cool reception they are getting from the public.

Yep, she got pissy and then cried. Everyone went white knight. He should have never been fired.

Read this earlier this morning and finally got around to watching the video...he didn't even say anything aside from that he found it funny. I find it very confusing how he was singled out and became the focus of public outrage. She asked his opinion and he gave it

'xactly. He stated his opinion and wasn't even the guy that said FHRITP.
******, now we the taxpayers are gonna be on the hook for a wrongful dismissal. The guy was a moron in public, NOT representing the company.

If that media whore came up to me aggressively provoking me like she did I would have told to Fick off and shut her ditch mouth.

Reprehensible I tells ya. I hope he loses his fishing license and Small Craft Operators Card. I don't want him anywhere near public lakes and rivers. We have to maintain core values. If I see him on a dock or swing bridge I will report to Air Traffic Control. This guy better pray he doesn't a need prostate examination. Not while I'm paying for OHIP. He can go to Turkey for that as far as I care.

Not sure how the guy got outed as a Hydro employee yet. Maybe I missed it.

Heard they are terminating based on code of conduct.

Well folks, I know it's a good paying job and all. The guy was on TV and obviously drunk and made offensive remarks.

Does that justify termination? I'm not sure.

I don't like how everyone likes to point fingers and demand folks get fired for stuff. It's easy to express outrage and complain.

I didn't find the guy funny. If I was female and the reporter, I would be offended.

If the guy expressed publicly, he is a Hydro employee and spoke that way, I can see Hydro terminating as being associated with such poor behaviour.

Otherwise, it's a matter for the courts really. The reporter can sue for harassment or police charge him for what ever that kind of behaviour falls under.

Really wish the false outrage rhetoric would take a back seat to such meaningless issues.

The reporter isn't in on the joke so, it's not funny and the reporter has the right to be upset. The guy deserves his due process.

Getting canned is a little over board imo but, then again I did all my crazy stuff off camera and before everyone had cell phones and the Internet etc.

I agree, people love to jump on the bandwagon, condemn and criticize! As if theyve never done anything stupid in their lives.

Its not like he killed, raped or caused permanent damage to someone.

Yes, what he did was wrong and if she wants to sue him, she should be able to. We have courts for that. But for Hyrdo to use this as some free publicity stunt is cheap.

This kid probably worked/studied hard to get a job like that so to completely ruin all his life's work because he made a stupid drunken comment is insane!

but in Canada, we love to be on our high horses and be all overly PC.

Give him some community service or make him pay a fine but to fire him is just an over reaction.

They should have talked to him first to gauge his perspective. He may have been mortified the next day. Like the guy with no eyebrows(fire safety) he could be made the company poster boy for sexual harassment and redemption, second chances. A missed opportunity by Hydro One.
