Re: Schumi's back!!!!

At least for a few races.. should be interesting!

..Tom

Totally OUTRAGEOUS if he actually wins the next race.

Raikonen scored 2nd in last race, so car is improved. Schumi still fit and active in motorcycle racing, and has the killer spirit a driver needs.

Fun times ahead.

Aug 23rd man i can't hardly wait to see Schumacher back in the ferrari.

I think we should do a breakfast meet at a pub downtown.

I can't stand the smug bastard.. :) Consumate pro though..and great driver..I suspect he'll not miss a beat and prove himself well. Kimi must be having a vodka-induced nightmare right about now.. Pubs open for breakfast??

Ooooo man I bet the latest 'fast guys' are quaking in their boots! Button, Vettel, Webber. They're gonna look like amateurs again!

:laughing8:

Mansell back in 94 after two years away from the series qualified on the front row. The big problem for Schumacher which was the same for Nige is maintaining the speed for the entire race.

Pubs open for breakfast lol.....Of course where do think ex-brits use to watch soccer matches every Sat/Sunday morning?;)

Scallywags at Yonge and St Clair is one for sure.

I heard he hurt his neck in one of his bike adventures..and might have an issue with that. So yeah, could be race fitness will be trouble.

Oh..soccer..right..is that the sport where grown men fall down and writhe in pain as if they've been gut-shot?? *puts on helmet and ducks*

I think Button and Webber are okay drivers in fast cars. I don't feel they are in the same league as the best guys.

I'd love to see a series that has Schumi, Vettel, Hamilton, and Alonso in identical cars. A few days of practise/setup, then qualifying and racing.

Oh happy day. He's back. I don't care for how long.

Happy happy chick

News reports talking of return of Formula 1 to Montreal by 2010 according to Bernie Ecclestone.....hmmm, better start savin' my pennies...

I’m a fan of Shumi so just a bit concerned about his comeback. During his time, the cars had all those electronic gadgets to assist the driver, but now driver has to work real hard, what if he couldn’t keep up :confused1:

I think he is a great driver no matter what, and if the car is competitive he can do well.

Personally I don't think there is any pressure on him to win. He is going in on a car that hasn't been super competitive (although getting better!), will have had no practice in the car, hasn't driven in F1 for a few years, and has proven all he needs to prove in the past.

If he were to win it would be a big feather in his cap, if not there are a lot of good reasons for him not to.

He was quick even in the non gagets cars jordan and benneton.

I have to say, this has been one of the most interesting seasons in F1 racing. Now with Schumi coming back, it stirs up the excitment even more. He may not have a chance to win the championship (unless he wins every race and Button gets no more points for the rest of the season), but it will allow Ferarri a chance at winning the constructors.

Yes, I agree... this is a crazy year for F1, probably the most interesting since I started watching back in the 90's.

GTAM Montreal F1 2010 Group Buy???? :D :D

Count me in. :D:D:D

I went back in 2004 and it was a total experience. I was suppose to go last year since I was getting free tickets (I have a buddy who marshalls the Montreal F1 and he gets a free ticket which he offers me), but could not make it. He will not be marshalling anymore so there goes that opportunity. :(

Aww... That sucks, but I guess all good things come to an end sometime.

Where did you sit??

Cool... are you going to be looking for the same section again, or somewhere else?
I liked the looks of the grand stand on the outside of the hairpin, so you can see the entrance and exit... thoughts?

I'm in - but after the ticket price I have to cheapo on the room. University of UQAM dorms. $40 night and bring a fan. In the morning you can hear the cars on the island.

Yummy.

tarahahaha
