F1 Thread!!!

For a stretch I used to go to the Montreal race every year and then to Detroit the one time Montreal was cxld becuase Molson and Labatts were feuding on the sponsor rights.

I've been at hairpin a few times (ok seats), start finsih line (lousy seats actually - could not see much due to the fencing you could only see the cars as they passed in front - a real blur), and the Senna curve several times - they were THE BEST becuase you can see the cars coming down the start / finish and lots of passing on the corner. You see cars coming at you, passing and then the exit. Good for the start too.

I haven't gone in a long time would be interested to check it out again - it's no longer the "Shumi show". It also got too expenseive - I bought the best seats I could to make the experience and trip worthwhile.

Montreal was great when general admission could snag you a great seat.

I've been there a few times at 6.00am in the morning waiting for the gates to open to secure my spot.

Alas, with pretty much everything in the world nowadays F1 got hip, and the corporate world took over.

Gawd - 6 a.m.? Now there's fan....I will have usualy just rolled into bed a few hours earlier.....great party in Montreal.....

Wow, think of the poor scalpers who snatched up all the tickets for the last few race venues of the season looking to cash in BIG. Ha! My heart bleeds :crybaby:

Yes, I agree... this is a crazy year for F1, probably the most interesting since I started watching back in the 90's.

Nah... just the bored media outlets stirring the post season pot as they have nothing else to report.

Booyah, Hamilton vs Alonso vs Schumacher, Mclaren vs Ferrari vs Mercedes.
Can't wait for 2010 season, will we see driver battle that compare with the old days similar to Piquet, Prost, Mansall and Senna.

CONFIRMED FINALLY !!!!!! http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/80651

yes caps lock was necessary.

Shumi is going be amazing - F1 keeps getting better and better.... this seasson is like its going to be the best.

PS. Button still sucks, he was even less deserving than Villeneuve. And it will never be more appararent than in 2010.

Hahah.....yeah, I guess I gotta eat my hat.

I never believed in a million years he would come back.

Wow, still stunned.

In my mind it was a given, i would have bet the farm on him returning to drive for Mercedes.

Ross Brawn and Schumacher again, in a competitive car I'm sure. Interesting! Hope he shakes the rust off quick.

I hope he crashes in practice and permanently mangles that smug grin he's got..
