What if you were to fill the fireplace with logs. Half way up and than rest the speaker on top of the logs?

Didnt see the specs. Similar tv tray table may work. Adjustable height but will probably need to be cut down a couple of inches. Leaves the bottom open like you want. Probably find one kijiji for next to nothingSpecs suggest that goes up 10”.
Thats what I was going for! Lol!What if you were to fill the fireplace with logs. Half way up and than rest the speaker on top of the logs?

You had the idea, I conceptualized it, now @jc100 needs to make it happen and update with a picture of the reality.Thats what I was going for! Lol!
FWIW my step father built a deck out of spruce 2X4s and stained it that redwood colour, replaced it after five years.Build onto my next question....where does one get wood outside of Home Depot / RONA / LOWEs etc?
My buddy bought his board and batten up at a mill in Musoka Lumber...but that's a hell of a trek for bringing some boards back home.
Also...pine or cedar for board and batten? He got pine, but I read there's the possibility of warping and bugs that is higher with boards that are NOT cedar.
Vertical with a great stain (eg sikkens) it has a fighting chance. Laying flat the lifespan is short.FWIW my step father built a deck out of spruce 2X4s and stained it that redwood colour, replaced it after five years.
OK so spruce bad for longevity...FWIW my step father built a deck out of spruce 2X4s and stained it that redwood colour, replaced it after five years.
Sometimes I buy oversized lumber and rip it down. The bigger stuff I figure comes from a more stable part of the tree. It still warps as stresses release.I get 2x4 is not 2x4 because it needs to be planed, but for fucks sake if I need a somewhat straight piece I need to go through at least 10 pieces.
All wood siding looks like poo after a few years I can set you up with a Mennonite sawmill if you want some.Build onto my next question....where does one get wood outside of Home Depot / RONA / LOWEs etc?
